Uni Watch: Rumors of all-blue uniforms against Washington
I've seen a couple different places now alluding to Michigan rolling with all-blue uniforms against Washington.
I believe this is an actual picture of Andrel Anthony in the all-blue from a fall scrimmage:
If that's the case, then consider me on board. I think that's a great look.

I can't edit the op, but upon closer inspection of that picture with #1, that's clearly not from fall scrimmage. Must be a Photoshop job. Either way, if that's representative of the actual look, I like it.

I like the look, but here's a dumb question. Will all blue make it slightly tougher for our QB to visually pick up receivers? A little maize as a proactive color could assist. It's my understanding that's the reason for the winged helmet to begin with.

Gentleman Squirrels said in another post, that if they wore Maize there's a chance it might blend in too much with the Maize Out and maize pom poms, and not make the WRs distinct enough for the QB to track downfield. All Blue will be a clear contrast.

If I was the uniform dictator I would do: 1 all blue home game, 1 all white away game, blue jersey maize pants and white jersey and maize pants for the rest. Maybe once every other year an all maize game

Right, the helmet is the brand. Big recruiting weekend and the players like alt uniforms. It's a pretty minor change and something most programs are doing once a season. Zero problem with this, I am glad it is not all maize, not a huge fan of that look.

All blue under the lights is the best combo to wear. Last time it was done for PSU game under Hoke the helmets just popped off the lights! Everyone wants to talk about jerseys but it’s the helmets people know Michigan for not the color combos

I’m 43 and I consider myself as a college football traditionalist. I like uniforms such as Penn St, Alabama, Michigan, Iowa and FSU for their tradition and that they aren’t flashy. What you don’t do is mess with the helmets and none of those programs do that. With that said, I love the blue on blue look because people really recognize Michigan because of their helmets, not their home or away jerseys.
