Why you have to rub salt in the wound? Next thing you will me is Chris Partridge is leaving. Don't be so cruel!

He was the first guy off the bench at both guard spots. We’re losing both starting guards. Meaning he would have to be passed up by two guys in order to not start.

It’s possible the staff would prefer a young guy and gave him a firm handshake. But there’s no way of knowing at this stage whether he would start or not. If he was here, in all likelihood he’d start.

Agree. IIRC  he was a very intelligent young man who sounded like the type who was technically sound and heady enough to outplay his size/strength/ranking quite a bit but obviously wasn't able to unseat Bredeson/Ruiz/Onwenu. We heard that he was next man up the last two years. In that two years we've hauled in a lot of really talented O-Line prospects, many of whom were called college-ready day one. It's probably not a stretch to say that the heady, try-hard guy may have missed his window and the uber-talented dudes are making strides to pass him.

Old news AND a bad take. Doubtful Harbaugh would have given him a 5th year. Better to use the scholarship on a hopeful recruit instead of a for sure backup. That's just the way this game is played now.

Didn't see many upperclassmen with eligibility left on the field yesterday that should leave.

There was a chance to upgrade status for the NFL. Who improved? Nordin possiblity. Zero skill players.
