From yesterday's thread which has kind of beenburied. Important detail that I haven't heard mentioned anywhere other than here as far as where that foreign game would be played.
You do realize we are going to play in London against one of the service academis, Rutgers, or ND soon, right?

Maybe a Clever way of saying Michigan will not give up home team revenue. Didn’t specifically say Michigan will not play in foreign sole.

Seriously...to hell with Notre Dame. I don't want to play them overseas.
If we ever schedule Notre Dame again...we need a single home game up front to make up from them cutting our would-be 2015 home game.
Then we need the new series to start with us having a home game so if the pull that BS again they don't get an extra game.
If Notre Dame won't agree to the above then they can schedule another ACC team since they are half in that conference already.

Don't schedule teams that aren’t part of a conference.
That goes for any D1 team.

Everyone is so bent out of shape, I assume we know. But if not whats the big deal? Go to south bend some other time. It's nothing special.

Unless Michigan drops series with any of Washington, UCLA, Texas or Oklahoma, they won't play Notre Dame until 2028, at the earliest. I never want to see a service academy again in my life. If it's Rutgers, why? If you are trying to "sell" the game, Rutgers is the last team that should be included.

While I get where you are coming from joeyb, I still believe that ANY game in London is worse than any game we would play in the states. It is just another step in the direction of Brandonism / Lochdogism. Our "product" is fine and does not need any additional bells, whistles, fire works, coke promotions, or games in neutral site stadiums 1,500 plus miles away to sell it.

This is what makes the most sense. If rutger wants to trade a home game vs UM for a neutral site London game - if for no other reason than it transforms the game from btn2 to espn or abc and gives them some extra visibility - I'm sure we'd agree to that.

Other than the small majority of fans that can both afford the time and money to make that trip, what benefits would there be? And don't say the extra exposure because everyone already knows who TF we are. I can think of many negatives to scheduling that game.
