This will be the place for hot takes regarding the offense and offensive playcalling.

Deep, and talented at every position. Playing their system very well. I believe OL play will improve when everyone is 100% healthy. Right now pass pro looks shaky when considering the competition level. Run blocking slightly out of sync at times. Also seems like they put 2 TEs on Jones side out of need. Once we clean up OL mistakes we should be able to give JJ enough time to make plays in the passing game.

Getting to this a bit late, sorry to repeat a few things.

Positives: Tons here.

**JJ did what was asked of him -- rapid decision making and accuracy in the short passing game -- almost to perfection. Throws the flat passes -- including the long ones to the field -- and screens better than any Michigan QB I've seen, and I go back to Wangler. Quick motion, lots of zip, and hyper-accurate. Excellent job, JJ.

**Corum rocked in the absence of Edwards. Gash looked excellent, moving the pile several times, and he staked his claim for RB3 and short-yardage specialist. I like him over Stokes in short-yardage for sure.

**The receivers played well and blocked well. I'm not too concerned over the lack of downfield throws in this game, because the short throws were what was there. And they were totally, blindingly there. It would have been criminal not to take them. Hell, they got turned into 20, 30, 40 yard plays anyway. The only issue here is that a speedier defense will take away that horizontal game to a degree. Would have liked to have seen a couple more long throws, for live reps.

**OL seemed to do fine in the run game. Offensive coaching and scheme seemed fine -- take what you're given. Past Michigan teams did not do that very well.

Negatives:

**Just the OL in pass pro. Jones with at least one biff again. This is what needs to get fixed most for us to contend for the conference title.

**Seeing Cade hurt sucks. He got lit up twice -- first one was on him, but the second was Hawaii all over again.

**Anything else is a nitpick. No nitpicking in 59-0.

OL is looking a little sus in pass pro, JJ can bail them out some but he shouldn’t have to against UConn.

JJ not unexpectedly a little slow both before and after the snap against a schematically trickier defense. Growing pains, but burning 2 TOs is no bueno.

Otherwise a complete evisceration. WR blocking excellent. Corum hasn’t had a chance to hit a home run this year but I’ll take good medium chunks and 5TD any day.

JJ's demeanor remains an elite force, interested to see if it sustains through elite pressure. Blake Corum got the action (and points) he's been starving for in these blowouts today. Wide receivers did their job given limited opportunity and proved pass blocking as an active strength. Tight ends still fun. Less Cade time than I expected (and he STILL got injured), but glad he got his ovation.

I jinxed the OL. Random breakdowns are back.

There are certain areas where the quality of opponent doesn't diminish the quality of lens on the team, but sadly playcalling isn't one of them. I share some gripes, but undoubtedly some of its stale-ness is situational.

OL not doing a great job with pass protection. These small quick D Lines are getting pressure on our QBs in the pocket. JJ is quick enough to elude the rush. Cade is slower and hangs on to the ball longer, so he got smashed. Hopefully he is back in a few weeks. Nice to see Bell doing a good job. JJ made a few mistakes but he also made some great plays.
