There's a shit ton of difference between not shutting down on Jan 31 and spending another month and a half telling everyone it was no big deal, not making sure testing and contact tracing capability in on place, while apparently also doing jack shit to prepare the health infrastructure for what everyone knew was coming. Shutting down the CDC Pandemic Task Force a couple years earlier certainly didn't help our response.

I realize you don't really care about the facts, but Trump didn't ban incoming travel from China. He only banned Chinese Nationals from entering the US, which does fuck all to stop a virus that spreads person to person.
Under the "ban", US citizens, family members of citizens, and US permanent residents could have all traveled to China, licked every toilet, and then come back to the US as if nothing ever happened.
