According to CornNation twitter account, Mike Sadler and Sam Foltz have died in the same car accident. God rest their souls. Horrific news.

I sometimes wonder if we could see all downvotes, not just for the main poster, if a lot of the drive-by votes would be gone.  Because while we can absolutely get into a debate about religion and prayer on the internet, after two 20-something guys die in a tragic accident is definitely not the time.

Went to High School with Mike. Such a great guy who loved the game, MSU, and helping others. Thoughts are with his family and all families involved.

I heard that they were on their way back from a punting clinic or camp in Wisconsin when this happened. Very, very tragic indeed. Cannot even imagine what their families are going through right now.

Condolences to their friends, family and respective university communities.

Prayers for both men and their families, horrible news. May they rest and peace and inspire lifetimes of positivity in their memory.

Thoughts to the families. Anytime I hear of a sudden death, especially of a young person, there is a heavy weight on my heart--no way to comfort a parent in these cases. So tragic. RIP young men.

I have many friends that are very close to Mike, and have known him from a young age. He was set to attend Stanford Law School this fall. He was universally loved at MSU. He was a joy to be around and had a great sense of humor. He was pure class in all regards, and definitely my favorite Spartan of all time.

Foltz was the Big Ten punter of the year last year and was on this year's Ray Guy Award watch list as one of the nation's best punters.

Times like this where we need to put petty football rivalries aside and remember what's really important.

Life is too damn short, and the world is a cruel place. We have to appreciate what we have, and who we have, while we have them. Because we could wake up tomorrow morning and they all could be gone.

At the end of the day, football is just a game. Gone too soon, young men.

According to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, Foltz was a passenger in a car traveling westbound on Beaver Lake Road at 11:30 p.m. The car lost control on wet pavement, left the roadway and struck a tree. Speed appears to be a factor in the traffic crash.

According to one person who lives near the area, there was a torrential rainstorm in the area last night.

The driver of the car was Michael Sadler, 24, a former Michigan State punter. He and Foltz were pronounced dead at the scene. A second passenger, Colby Delahoussaye was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Delahoussaye is a senior punter at LSU.

The three were attending a weekend punter's camp in Wisconsin.
