According to CornNation twitter account, Mike Sadler and Sam Foltz have died in the same car accident. God rest their souls. Horrific news.

I recall Sadler wanted to play for M, but RR went with a punter from Wisc, whose name escapes me right now

I'm sure it has something to do with the vodka I'm consuming while cooking dinner, but this whole thing is freaking me the hell out.  I just texted my son (UM student) to tell him I love him and to be safe.  Also texted my buddy in Chicago who has a 16 year old daughter.

This is the worst possible news a parent can get.  I'm literally sick to my stomach.

This is a horrific tragedy.  My thoughts go out to their families, and I hope they can at least take some comfort in the knoweldge that they raised such fine sons.

Was driving back to Iowa from Stevens Point yesterday evening and can confrim the nasty rains that went through the state.  Definitey hydroplaned a few times.  Very sad to hear about this.

You're born at Point A...... and die at Point B.  In between kick maximum ass!!!  That is what these two guys did even though it was a shorter time on earth than the average person.  Terrible news and make sure to treasure every day in between point A and B.

Condolences to the Nebraska program and the friends and family of Sam Foltz.

Deepest sympathies to the MSU football program and all of those who loved and cared for Mike Sadler. It's pretty sad and humbling to see some of the tributes from the MSU community on Twitter. From all of his teammates, coaches both past and present and the rock already painted in his honor. One tweet in particular stuck out to me though from Mark Dantonio and it was a retweet from Mike Sadler dated January 1, 2015 that said "One of the hardest things in life is walking away from the people and places that gave you so much. Thank you MSU! #3"

This is really a tragedy.  I know we like to argue as fans and rivals, but these types of losses transcend any of that.  Condolensces out to both fanbases and everyone affected.

the power and responsibility of a motor vehicle until I flew off the road at 60 MPH one day after I hit a patch of black ice on my way to high school.

For whatever reason, I didn't hit the telephone pole that I whizzed right by.  So I'm here pretty much due to dumb luck.   I got an unbelievably personal lesson on just how quickly you can go from being in total control of a car to 100% screwed in the blink of an eye.   I won't say that I started driving like a total saint after that or anything, but I certainly became way more careful of the roads when the conditions are less than ideal.

RIP to these young men and thoughts for their families.
