Any thoughts about Buccaneers trading him?  Given their injuries last year on D & WR, maybe they think they can compete for SB again.  If not, trading him to 49’ers makes sense???🤔

I mean, as long as we don't end up with a Favre situation where we are having a retirement presser each spring and, by late summer, he's in camp again.

Then again, it's Tom Brady - he can do this until his arm falls off in midthrow one game and I am OK with it.

Some dude just paid half a million dollars for the football used for Brady’s last TD pass.  Wonder if he was smart enough to get a right to rescind if Tom un-retired.

Makes sense especially with the way he played last year at an MVP caliber level. Tampa still has all its weapons, Gronk will now stay in Tampa, and a lot of guys who were otherwise going to test the FA markets will probably come back to Tampa now as well.

NFC is winnable compared to the bloodbath that the AFC will be, and barring Watson going to Carolina, the rest of the NFC South is a joke. Easy path to the playoffs. Either way, glad we get Brady for at least one more year. The sport is not the same without him.

I know my brother is happy since he is a Tampa Bay fan, but I am somewhat surprised. I don't think he would be doing this if he didn't have something left in the tank.

Brady threw for 5,300 yards and 43 TDs this past season. Statistically speaking, it was one of the best seasons of his entire career. Clearly he's still got something left in the tank, and he's still mentally one of the sharpest minds in the game. That aspect of the game doesn't go away with age like the physicals typically do.

Bigger question for me is I just wonder what kind of assurances or concessions Tampa gave him to convince him to come back. Let's be real, he did NOT come back without being made certain promises from the front office/ownership.

First hurdle I think they had to clear for him is that Tampa Bay's OL is very much in flux right now, and Brady was getting beat up pretty bad in the playoffs. Some of that had to do with injuries to their starting LT who was very freaking good and will be back next season, but one of their starting guards just retired, and their starting center could walk in FA. Tampa also doesn't have a great cap situation and they have a lot of guys about to hit FA. Some will come back because they want to play with Brady again, but some will walk because another team will just be able to pay more. They need to make sure that the right guys stay.

Will be really curious to see what kind of team is around him come September. He should have all his weapons back, but the state of his OL and the defense will be interesting to see.

I'm hoping they draft Haskins. They may not be able to afford Fournette and Haskins will come cheap on his rookie contract, never fumbles, and showed he is a threat out of the backfield catching the ball, good blocker. Would be a great fit for a team that has a lot of pieces to try and make fit
