Dymonte Thomas will run a 4.21 forty.
Everything is exaggeratedly good at pro days.

Everyone seems to complain about hand timed pro day 40s. If they don't laser time pro day 40s, why don't they film the 40s with a running stopwatch, and a camera catching an insanely high FPS, and then slow it down and calculate it?
That doesn't sound nearly as fun as making stuff up.
...a 54 inch vertical. Which is nothing compared to Taco's 4.47 40. Magnus is right...this is fun!
They can then overlay videos to create a psuedo race between any number of players they want. which actually can show who is ahead at 10 yard, 15 yard, 20 yard, etc.
3.9 is the number of scouts that will be at MSU's pro day.
...I was lost in all these 3 and 9 references as related to MSU.

Sorry, bad joke - grading papers today.
Are you sure? I thought it was a reference to bowling pins.

Magnus, you're on a roll !!!!!!
...Magnussen and Kalis weren't invited to the NFL combine. One was a first team all-B1G and both played in college all star games.
It's all Saben's fault (with maybe some help from Urban).

Urben.
but the invites went to Erik Magnusen and Kyle Kales. Lost in the etherwebs...
I don't know, but it's probably because NFL teams aren't that interested in drafting them. They're the ones who put together the invitation list for the Combine. If you look at the underperformance of Michigan's offensive line over the past few years, it makes sense that teams might not be too interested in drafting those guys.
Kalis will get his chance via draft or free agency. I hope he makes a team
...Kalis' issues were training related. I just don't think he was as good as we thought he would be.
Kalis also worked with LeCharles Bentley in high school. I don't think Bentley has any kind of magical fix for Kalis.

That's exactly what I was about to post. He has been working with Bentley for years. They showed him on TV working with Bentley at hIa facility while Kalis was still at Michigan. If anything, Bentley sabatoged his game to F with Michigan.

Some team will take a chance on him in the late rounds given his physical tools and resume.
Also, Coldwater, Kyle looks in better shape than I've ever seen him right now.
for a 5* player I don't think it's going too far out on a limb to say he never lived up to his potential. Even though we loss a lot of experience on that line, I am condfident we can have an even better line this year as I think we have guys with a higher ceiling now.

Wolverines eligible for the NFL Draft next month will work out in front of representatives from all 32 teams on Friday (March 24) at Al Glick Field House and the U-M football complex. 9A-1P
Print out a fake press pass and go man! Let us know how it is. You only live life once my friend.

Is this going to be available online or tv? I know some pro days you can pick up on espn U sometimes, I didn't see it listed there or BTN though.
No. It's closed to media, because Jim Harbaugh wants to make sure that scouts attend.
March 24th, 2017 at 11:23 AM ^
Honest question, what reason would scouts have to not want to be there if the media is present?
March 24th, 2017 at 11:53 AM ^
If the media's there taping or broadcasting everything, then some guys might just DVR the thing on BTN or whatever and then watch it later. And I think it helps out the lesser players, who will get a chance to show off their personality and work ethic in person, rather than just trying to force an eye-popping performance in numbers. Maybe a guy like Erik Magnuson is much more impressive in person than he looks on the TV.
Mags is very impressive in person, as a person, and Kugs, & Kyle, & 'Monte, and many/most of the guys really.

SIAP, but if it makes anyone feel any better regarding the end of our basketball run last night and wants to read something that segways into football, ESPN has an article up that substitutes each schools' football program for their basketball program from the sweet 16 through the championship.
We win!

Any idea what he will do today?

To sort of answer your question about Jake with a tidbit or two, Ghost, I spoke to him recently & he said the teams he's spoken to still have confidence in him, and that the recovery is coming along well.
Then I was talking to another player about pro day, and what or if Jake would be able to do, drill or workout wise, which came up after I mentioned what Jake had said, and he said he thinks he's going to at least do a little bit, and that he maybe could run some but that he won't be able to cut.
I'll be hearing from a few players about how they did & ask about Jake too since I won't be as likely to see him. I don't know yet if they'll want it known or not though.

Bill Belichick in the house today.
Was wondering which head coaches or coordinators attended. Saw a photo of Belichick, John Harbaugh and Sean Payton at OSU's Pro Day on Thursday. Made me sick to see John Harbaugh in Columbus!!!
That made you sick? You must get sick a lot.
Seeing John Harbaugh in a group photo with Urban Meyer should make anyone sick!
He only mentions people that were invited to the combine. I was curious to see what kind of number that Dymonte Thomas put up.
