These quotes from Ronnie Bell point to Nico not returning
Ronnie Bell is referring to Nico as “number four” in his interview below. If Nico was practicing, he’d be referring to him as “number one” since that’s what his number would have been this year. That is reading between the lines, but amidst all the speculation, that tells me Nico is in the past:

Nah, that's not it.
It's just that Roman Wilson beat out Nico for the #1 jersey, so Nico had to switch back to #4.

Nico is gone methinks—in the Gattis press conference he talked about Nico like he talked about McCaffrey, as someone who was no longer on the roster and that M was moving on.

Maybe I missed some rule change but wouldn't Nico have to be enrolled in class full time by now to participate? The drop/add date has come and gone. So wouldn't that also mean Nico is gone?
September 25th, 2020 at 5:19 PM ^
FWIW, Slam Webb said he is enrolled in classes, but as of now isn't expecting him back nor is Michigan.

4 is the superior number.
September 25th, 2020 at 6:49 PM ^
4 sho.
It's mathematically four times the number one is.

I would be the dumb blonde in the movie if the movie required one.

Repetitive. Just add a period after dumb and call it a day.

You’re not amusing to me.

Is this seriously not a bot? You’d fail the Turing test and apparently you’re human.
September 25th, 2020 at 1:07 PM ^
Wow, that's really reading into things.
September 25th, 2020 at 1:12 PM ^
No more so than the Gattis quote thread below. Just having fun! People take the posts on this board too seriously.
We won’t hear anything one way or another from the program or Nico until game day. If practice is closed to the media, Harbaugh will take any advantage he can get and keep Minnesota guessing whether we’ll have Nico or not.

So your bar to clear is a thread that's at 33 downvotes and counting?
September 25th, 2020 at 2:59 PM ^
I negged myself to help the cause.
September 25th, 2020 at 2:18 PM ^
Yes, both posts are equally bad.
September 25th, 2020 at 2:26 PM ^
The second post was obviously making fun of the first post. What is bad is how far the second post sailed over so many heads.

But how can this be true when Gattis talked about liking his WR room and making no mention of Nico, which clearly means Nico is back???
September 25th, 2020 at 1:19 PM ^
Talking to myself now, but the "Nico Speculation" is reminding me of the Cold War. There was a time in the 40s and 50s that we had so little insight into the goings-on within the Soviet Union - because so few reliable espionage assets on the ground - that our intelligence folks would look at photos from public events to "divine" what was going on within the Politburo. Those individuals that were standing closer to Stalin were deemed to be in the "in-group," or on the rise in the party, while someone standing further away was assumed to be falling out of favor and would either be dead or in a gulag soon...
Does anyone have a recent photo of Gattis with the WR corp???

laughed out loud
September 25th, 2020 at 2:05 PM ^
Here's definitive proof: pic at left shows (l-r) Jackson, Bell, Gattis, and Nico.
Pic at right shows that Nico is now an unperson.
September 25th, 2020 at 2:26 PM ^
Clearly was pushed into the water by Stalin/Gattis.

Nico Collins and Nikolai Yezhov. The only time EVER you will see those two names in the same sentence. This is truly Communist Football.

How about Nico not coming back, announcing he's coming back and opted out right before the big ten decided to return to football prove he isn't coming back..
September 25th, 2020 at 1:16 PM ^
I believe Collins is coming back.
I believe Collins is not coming back.
I may be wrong but I'll also be right, which is my usual prediction average.

Id think I’d he was coming back we’d know at this point but maybe I’m wrong. In 29 days we’re kicking off against the most impressive physical specimen in the NCAA: Goldy Gopher.
Can’t wait!

All this “he’s coming back” and the “he’s not coming back” stuff. If he doesn’t, best of luck Nico. Thanks for all the work you poured into the team. But really, we’ve got a truly elite group of receivers to work with. He’ll be missed but I can’t help but think we are going to be just fine.
