Thankful for this

Sports are dumb and meaningless in the grand scheme of things, and we here at mgoblog are more keenly aware of this than most. That said, one of the great joys of life to me is tailgating for football games, especially big and meaningful games, with stakes and hopes associated with them. Yeah this team will probably lose on Saturday, but I'm thankful that here we are at the end of the season and The Game is a top-5 matchup with a Big 10 title game berth and a playoff spot on the table. I'm thankful we aren't shopping around for coaches, or stuck in the muck like USC, Texas, Florida, and other blue bloods are currently. And I'm thankful that mgoblog, which I've read since my freshman year at Michigan back in 2008, is here and providing some of the best content on the internet, despite all the struggles of the past 15 years of Michigan fandom. Like Seth said in the UFR, we know what our fate most likely is on Saturday, but damn it if we all don't deserve to enjoy the ride, whatever comes through those gates.

In the words of Frodo Baggins, "I'm glad to be with you, MGoBlog, here at the end of all things".

Mgoblog always makes me feel better. It's where I come after a win and a loss, in fact even the shit posters or commenters make me feel better because no matter what my reaction might be, it tells me other people have reacted similarly or, often times, much worse!! Plus I like to throw a couple fucks in just for the hell of it!

Very thoughtful honest post..I still cant believe we are in the position we are in..I think like many M fans especially those of us who remember the days when Michigan won vs OSU and often, we tend to be a little more pessimistic..Ill be honest all season long I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop..and it basically hasnt (cept for MSU which I STILL think we got screwed). If we end up in a NY6 Bowl(Hoping Rose) then this will have been a HIGHLY successful season ..

I don't accept this. There's something that many people are losing sight of. Despite this being the greatest rivalry in NCAA football, until recently it has been dominated by Michigan. OSU has won 8 straight and 15 of 16, yet Michigan still leads the all-time series 58-51-6.

This is the game that returns this rivalry back to its historic norm. Michigan dominance is back.
