This Team Is Different

We are likely to lose a couple of games, but this team is different.  It can take a punch and returns fire.  Lots of character and hard working guys.  GO BLUE and F*ck Scott Frost!!

I'm impressed because neither Nebraska turnover was really a turnover, Michigan took those balls away.

Beating this Nebraska team on a night when they didn't really implode is impressive, many games Nebraska has given away but this one was ripped away from them by Hawkins

The last few years, the team would have melted down after giving up 22 and the lead in the 3rd quarter alone.  They would not have held up.  Apparently, Harbaugh had a 'come to Jesus' moment in the off-season - everything about him, his staff, and his team are different!

The offense was steady all night - it didn't sway from the game plan they started with in the first qtr, and it worked.  The defense lost some battles, like we've known it would all year.  But scoring 32 should be enough, and it was.  Barely!  But it was enough!!!

Great job from JH on rebuilding his staff, his team, and himself.  In the process, he's rebuilding the fanbase, too!  Losing a game like this would've sucked, but it also would have been forgiven.  Winning it...  Nice!!

We only see a small sample of what goes on on the sideline but the intensity from JH last night is the first I've seen of what I expected when we hired him.  And then the crazy blow-off of the postgame interview?  Kind of vintage JH.  I'm starting to take a few steps toward that football Lucy is holding.

I’ll add a comment about the culture - former teams didn’t ever seem to have the swagger to go into hostile territory (both Wiscy and Neb) and steal the opponents THUNDER right out of their own favorite songs. Incredible way to return that pressure and make it their own fire-up music!
interesting to see that Harbaugh doesn’t really participate, it kinda makes me think it wasn’t really his idea...

Maybe so...  But one of the changes we've seen in him this season is that he's letting his team enjoy college football.  Perhaps even encouraging it.  What other visiting teams are joining in Jump Around and sharing in the momentum boost it brings?  Even when Jump Around (Thunder Up?) is culturally appropriated (but it looked really cool - the 1.5 seconds ABC actually showed).

This is part of the 'new' Harbaugh we have this year.  It's like the 2016 version of him - a version everyone of us continues to LOVE!

Harbaugh's reaction to the win jumping around like he won the lottery makes me think that we might actually have the old Harbaugh back. Maybe not the throwing clipboards Harbaugh, but he seems to have re-discovered something over the off-season. Loved seeing the passion out of him in this game.

Harbaugh was fired up and this team has some mojo. The environment tonight was electric and Nebraska had the place rocking, but we out hearted them. Good win. Nebraska is better than their record indicates.

There’s a lot to pick apart, complain about, and be rightfully worried about against better competition (especially OSU,) but tonight was a great win. On the road at night vs a solid Nebraska team is a great win. The defense looked like 2nd half Rutgers again - only this time against a team that can finish better - but Hawkins made the game winning play and unlike the 2nd half of Rutgers, the offense kept making plays.

Loved seeing Harbaugh fired up running off the field. That was Stanford/SF Harbaugh.

I like the effort the defense plays with, but they simply don’t have the talent to keep up with an elite offense. OSU is likely going to do bad things to the defense, but maybe if we can just keeping winning until that game then you can still land a Jackson and then him and Johnson quickly change the talent of the secondary.

I think we have the ability to win every other game on the schedule though. MSU and PSU will be tough, but winnable with great execution.

I’ve heard all season to date that Alabama (and Georgia) were a significant cut above everyone else.  Ooopppsss, maybe Alabama isn’t.  I think we have a long way to go before we get the Buckeyes (a cut above the rest of the B1G) at home in late November.  How about we enjoy the week off at 6-0, enjoy that we play a very bad NW team after a week off, and get a laser focus on beating MSU?

I still can't get over how much better Harbaugh looked last night. I believe something significant in his life has changed for the better, and that's great.

It's also clear that his newfound energy has carried over to the team because they were able to hang around and gut out the win.

Beating a decent, motivated Nebraska team in Lincoln at night in your second consecutive week on the road is pretty darned good in my book.

I agree.

My only concerns are a subpar secondary and the fact that we can't convert in the redzone.

Sure, I'll take 3 pts but it's not going to fly in the second half of the season. All in all, love our boys' resilience thus far! Go Blue from southern IN!
