Bowen testified while his son played for the Mean Streets AAU team he received $5000 from former NFL player Ty Streets and $1500 from coach Tim Anderson, who is now with DePaul

2. Tai Streets, as a former Michigan football player, is a rep of Wolverines so alleged 5K payment is problem even if it was to play for his AAU team not attend U of M.

Tai Streets runs an AAU team, I had no idea.

Who fucking cares ? We aren’t in a division with psu, osu, and MSU. All of which have committed disgusting crimes. Honestly I do not even care a little bit that tai streets is involved in the sketchy culture of AAU basketball. If he paid players to come to Michigan I might care a teeny tiny bit.

The real story would be if a recruit of Bowen's caliber _wasn't_ paid for everything he does.

This feels very much like a stretch, considering Michigan never really went after Bowen and my guess is that you could find graduates for basically every major university involved in some way, shape, or form with player payments if your bar is "went to school there."

Again, pay the players.

Nothing will come of this of course, but did Bowen ever visit here? I don’t remember us ever being involved with him, but a scumbag idiot (one of the worst over there) on the RCMB says he visited here and got crystal balls after his visit. I’d say that’s BS.

The fact is that the NCAA puts the onus on the schools to police themselves, and so it's on Michigan's Compliance office to control the "boosters," including all the former players. No one else in the NCAA apparatus has the ability to enforce the rules. Yes it's an impossible job, but I have to believe that Michigan did everything they reasonably could to educate the boosters about the rules. They likely have already self-reported a minor violation, demonstrate there was no benefit, and everyone will move on. Maybe another email will go out to all alumni/boosters reminding them that they cannot do stuff like this.

Louisville coaches paid prostitutes to sleep with recruits and fathers. They still have a program. As long as that’s the standard, I’m not sure why anyone follows the rules.

Also, they paid the parent.  Cam Newton already proved this means nothing can happen unless the kid knew that the payment took place and at the full digits for least five of the bill serial numbers
