Submitted by BernardC on

Just making it known that tickets on StubHub are out there for $10-15/apiece (sets available) for today's game.  Lots of them.

For those of you that love Mich football and go to these games, isnt much of the season a tease? Theres like 3 games a year that are remotely interesting against good teams. Would seem frustrating to me.
This unlv game interests me so little i wont even watch it today, and hardly make an effort to find the result.

I get what you're saying but when I had my season tickets, I just being there so much that it didn't really matter to me. I gave mine up last year because there were no rival games or any interesting games period. Most power five schools have at least two games that aren't worth face value

Fair enough, all good points.
Im a fan, went to all home games during undergrad, 2 rose bowls, and rented rv for all away games senior year.
Just have hard time getting excited about beating cupcakes. New schedule doesnt help either. I want to play iowa, wisc, illinois, nd and not rutgers and maryland and a whatever OOC.

Just checked StubHub and there are only 3,000 tickets on there. The way the OP made it sound it seemed like there wasn't going to be anyone at the game. It will be a light crowd with the weather and opponent but I'm hoping nothing like we saw last year.

It will be a light crowd unfortunately for the reasons you state (weather, opponent) plus one more.  Brandon-Hoke KILLED a significant portion of the "game attending" fan base over the past several years and they arent going to be brought back to life anytime soon - if ever.

Going to Michigan games on Saturday for me was a 35 year habit and I didnt give two shits if it was UNLV or MSU - it's just what I did.  But once I stopped going I found a LOT of things to do on Saturday's around here plus I really like the proximity of my TV, fridge and bathroom.  And it costs a lot less too.

I'm no less of a fan of Michigan (read the commerative BO book published shortly after he passed away last night and I'm sitting here in my MGoBlog photo bomb shirt while I wait for kickoff) but I'm not there at the game anymore.  And other than maybe (if I can con somebody into giving me tickets for face) MSU or OSU I wont be there for any other games this year either.

you know, can't edit because mobile but I'm being serious here. everyone someone talks about attendance you start the same rhetoric about how it is cheaper for you to stay home, you are more comfortable being there, it is too much of a hassle to travel from clevland to AA, etc. then you try to say these things are hoke/brandons fault, like they failed you by letting you have a family or something. I'm not questioning your fandom, I'm just so tired of hearing the same lousy justifications for you not buying season tickets like you have for the last 35...wait you didn't but them last year either, so the last 0 years

First off I'm not "bitching" - I offering my opinion (which is what a blog is suppose to be about remember) on an additional reason why the crowd will likely be light besides weather & opponent.

Second of all I'm 56 which is hardly "too old to attend games".  The term Blue Hairs & the Down in Front section of our fan base is comprised of MUCH older fans than me.  And age has zero to do with my point anyways.

Third of all I didnt raise this point or create this thread - I commented in it.

And lastly, you don't need to be an ass if you disagree with somebody.

I know. I deserve it my tone is way off. it gets me butthurt when people act like this program want trending down before hoke. you don't deserve the response, and I like to think I'm better than that. but I have read numerous posts by you outlining the pros and cons of watching from home and they are essentially: 1) less expensive. 2) more time with family. 3) more comfortable. I've been hearing (and preaching) those same things for over a decade, they are not exactly novel

I've been a long time reader here and recently started an account. I get tired of the constant talk from people who complain about going to games. It's no secret that watching the game on TV, being close to your fridge, being home on your couch, and getting stuff done on a Saturday are the reasons people say they stay home...oh and cost! The fact is, I don't go to the games becuase it is more convenient or get to see any anaylyze every play. I go to games for the event, for the tailgate, for the social interaction with friends, to hear the band play in person, feel the Ann Arbor Gameday Saturday, and yes to enjoy the game in only the way you can by being there. Nobody gives a crap as to why you choose to stay home, to tell us over and over again that it is more convenient to stay home is played out around here by now and couldn't be more of an obvious statement. People go to games for the event, not becuase it's more convenient. So enjoy your 65" flat screen, cold beer in the fridge (10ft away), no lines, and chores around the house. I'll be at the tailgate enjoying the fall afternoon talking with other Michigan friends and fans about life's events, eating good food, and watching good football. Oh, and I'll do all that while i get stuck in traffic, have to wait in line to take a piss, and get rained on....and I'll love every minute of it. So stay the F off my lawn with why you stay home, quit drinking and go to bed with that shit already.
