Status of Will Johnson?

Submitted by greymarch on November 25th, 2023 at 7:22 PM

Loveland only had a bloody nose.  He's good for the Iowa game.

Zinter had an air-cast put on his leg and taken via ambulance to the hospital.  Needless to say, Zinter will not play vs Iowa, and the next snap Zinter likely takes will be on a Sunday for an NFL team.

What I want to know...what's the status of Will Johnson?  Is he injured?  If so, what happened to him?

Sam Webb said Will Johnson got injured in practice on Tuesday, and reaggravated the injury today.  He didn't indicate what or how severe.

If you don't want to hear what Sam has to say, change the channel.  He is a serious fan and does a great job of promoting Michigan Athletics on his program.

I threw F-bombs at Ryan Day more than a few times during and after the game.  After all the angst this fanbase has gone through over the last month and then some, I'm more than happy to let Sam rant.

Bad assed game. Broken bones, bloody noses and slobber nocking. This was a true “Ohio state vs Michigan game”. Here’s to hoping that players on both sides heal quickly. Especially Zinter. A leg is not supposed to bend that way..feel awful and my heart hurts for the big fellow. Heal up Zak and come back and get yours and lead at the next level.

WTKA post game show said Will got injured in practice on Tuesday but was good to go today. The injury was reaggrivated in the 4th quarter of this game.

It is unknown how bad and if he'll be available for the B-10 playoff game so stay tuned.

Doesn't sound like we'll see either before the CFP Semifinal. Edit: Zinter is done for the year.

Good thing Iowa can't pass for shit.

I expect Wallace and Sainristil to start at CB and McBurrows to play NB.

Nobody knows for sure as of today. Clearly. I'd guess that it's a calf or ankle thing but I will say that he went off the field pretty smoothly. He didn't seem to have a limp or gait.

I just wouldn't be surprised if he didn't play next week. Zinter is done. Anyone that saw the injury can see he's done. I hope he heals and will root for him in The NFL. Nothing but respect. Loveland seems fine. Bloody nose/face by way of an uncalled facemask on his last big catch.

Well, since I have been watching the highlights over and over of this game, Johnson was running on the field celebrating at the end with nothing on his ankle. I think he is fine!

I believe a calf will heal in a month.

Chasing around Iowa's (check's notes) 1 wide receiver with a career year of 18 catches for 133 yards is not necessary.
