Blue team wants those steaks
Personally I’d love to find a spot on the staff for Devin. He really knows his football and just seems like a fun guy to have around.
Hibner looked quick and lethal....right until the turf monster got him hahaha
Dunlap saying not so fast my friend
Bo almost ripped off Jon Falk’s head when he saw some slight issue with one guy’s uniform. Bo would NOT be pleased that all the names are falling off the jerseys. And on his birthday, no less.
Why has BTN shrunk the size of my screen?
Stop. Nobody wants to watch announcers during the actual friggin’ game.
Who the hell is this O'Leary guy??
A walk on
Pleasant surprise this season. The X factor!
He got a TON of hype last fall camp (or maybe last spring) but never got a sniff on the field even in garbage time
Based on today — I am going to guess he got injured. He looks 2nd or 3rd-string capable (at minimum) this year.
I think the Big Ten Network sometimes lets students produce a broadcast. That can be the only explanation for the split screen with the announcers. Some kid came up with this idea.
Like to see karmello English get in there
Will they play OT - in case this ends in a tie after regulation?
penalty kicks from the 45...
Nice Orji!!
er...throw!
Quick UFR bite: should've been closer to the sideline. Great adjustment by Moore.
Was that Alex Orji?! Uh-oh! Orji Activate!
O’Leary earned a scholly. The next Cooper Kupp…
I know the defense is usually ahead of the offense during Spring, but holy shit both offenses are getting eaten alive lol
Orji can spin it a bit!
Ben Hall is the DEAL.
He looks like the rb3 to my eyes.
Hall's patience dang. He is thicccc Mike Hart.
These guys talk too much. Especially Devin.
yeah, Devin needs to chill...I think Jake has been fantastic...
Man, I think I can hold two independent thoughts:
Love Devin Gardner
Don’t love Devin the announcer
Turf Monster is the MVP of this game
Ben Hall, the lowly three star, looks legit.
yes he does
Keep feeding Hall
whats up with all the tripping today?
this new turf sucks?
it's always been a mystery to me why they can't find a strain of grass to grow and thrive in the big house. if it was grass it would be safer and more idyllic. Like yost and crisler worked it.
A few things:
-Players are a lot bigger than they were 70-100 years ago and consequently, they wreak more havoc on the turf than they once did. A 300-pound guy in cleats will rip up more grass than a 200-lb guy will.
-The season is longer now, and extends later in the year (past the end of the normal growing season for grass).
-Michigan Stadium happens to be located in a spot of low elevation where the water table is close, and the field is built into the ground. 30 years ago we lowered it further, which improved sightlines, but brought the field even closer to the water table. As a consequence, grass doesn't take deep root in the stadium, or at least it didn't in the 1990s when we last tried.
Thanks for the info. I loved the look of the stadium back in the late 80s when you walked up to the gates and said to yourself what's the big deal about this place.
I appreciate the fact that the field is deeply embedded and thought that was a big part of the issue. you know better than I but maybe they could find something natural that would work. 4
i am okay with turf if it is safe for the players but it seems like nature and weather fucks with all synthetics such that it is a constant issue once installed (kinda like grass).
Orji - ball placement that whole drive even on incompletes is ahead of Tuttle's. Interesting.
Orji - ball placement...
Uhm..phrasing :)
Ok, my inner teenager kinda lost it w that
Barner is a stud--great pick-up
So far these are my standouts:
- The pulling O-line men on the blue team have been paving roads.
- Ben Hall looking like Mike Hart
- Davis Warren looks the best of the backups, but Tuttle looks like a fine option
- McBurrows looks like he'll get significant playing time.
- Amorian Walker still needs some work but has the tools
- Hibner looks to be another great TE.
- Moore and Stewart and the DL look like the pass rush is slightly better.
- Short yardage defense has looked good.
jake being jake suggesting that IU football has reasonable standards. I always hope IU gets it together and I honestly think they don't give a shit in bloomington. That said, it is a tough gig coaching CFB in Indiana.
Tom Allen kinda seems like a cornball psychopath.
that's why he is a decent fit in southern indiana.
That was a very nice throw by Davis Warren. And, fk'n O'Leary is balling out!
O'Leary and Warren have that connection
O'Leary - early Heisman favorite?
O'Leary!
My effing DVR didn't record it. F me. Anyone wanna fill me in what I missed, or where I can rewatch it ?
I'm sure it will pop up on YouTube. DL has been beastly. Hall looks like the real deal.
O’Leary, 6 catches, 121 yards…….damn
Gonna take a lot of NIL money to keep him after this year haha.
Walker - a lot to learn. Good experience for him and fans who have built him into Prime 35 years ago.
