extraordinary. To provide wrong info on Walton’s employment that is verifiable and of minimal relevance, and then for Walton to deny his employment, is comical. They continue to prove their dishonesty and PR ineptitude.

I don't think it is ineptitude.  Their goal is to keep the cult intact by any means necessary.  What MGobloggers perceive as ineptitude and dishonesty is being perceived by many sparty loyalists as fighting the good fight.

It's scary, and horrible, but they are being smart.  Remeber the Iraqi minister of defense blatantly lying about the strength of his army's position during the last gulf war?  He denied the coming defeat right up until the tanks rolled through Baghdad.  It seemed ridiculous to the rest of the world looking on.  However, he wasn't lying for the world, he was lying for his Army.  His job wasn't to be honest, it was to protect what was left of Saddam's Iraq.  They were pot commited.  Some parallels to be drawn I think.

Is this in relation to Nassar or OTL?

If Nassar, MSU has already lost their President, AD, had the doctor sentenced, the dean of DO school charged, investigations still continuing, enormous PR hit, hundreds of millions in lawsuits expected, etc..  I don't think anyone at MSU or fan/alum is blind to what is happening there.

Regarding OTL, still not seeing anything that really implicates Dantonio or Izzo in doing something wrong.

right, because playing 2 guys you KNOW raped a girl for 4 years (izzo) and having something like 17 sexual assaults during your 8 year tenure (mork), letting a guy drive from jail to spring practice (mork), not disciplining a guy at all who pulled out a gun in a road rage incident while on probation (mork), not disciplining a guy who got a super drunk dui while on probation in a game week (also mork), not
suspending a guy with what, 10 driving on suspended license citations (mork again) . . . all seem completely on the up and up.

You sound like a lot of Spartys I've talked to about this.  Not all, but an allarming number say the same things.

A tape of Dantonio cheering on a rape could surface and you still wouldn't see anything.  Your loyalty blinds you to something that is horrifically obvious to outside observers.

Dantonio recruited a known sexual assailant to campus and he proceeded to rape another girl at MSU.  That's what sexual predators tend to do....

Dantonio passed the buck to the admissions people as if that absolves him of any responsibility.  Worse yet, he actually feels no remorse!!!!  What a fucking saint he is...  What if it was your daughter that Robertson raped on campus?  Is football and beating Michigan that important to you?  It obviously is to Dantonio.

Autson Robertson was one of at least 17 other sexual assailants that have played and raped under Dantonio's watch.  There is more "smoke" - if you want to call it smoke, flourescent glowing nuclear fallout is probably more accurate - suggesting that Dantonio and Izzo have some blood on their hands, but I don't have the strength to re-write the laundry list.  It wouldn't matter to you anyway if I did.  I'm horrified by people like you and your ability to deny what has/is happening at this school you so identify with.

It is a horrible look for Michigan State and its alumni.  BTW, I am a part of that Alumni...

You - and I gues me by association to the school - are the Iraqi army in my previous analogy.  Engler and his talking heads are the Iraqi press guy.  Michigan Statee's plan is working.  Keep drinking that Kool-Aid.  The BOT and their $1000 an hour lawyers are counting on people like you to carry the torch.  I wouldn't want to carry the torch, but then again I'm not a part of the cult.

bad intentions (tribalism at its worst) and PR ineptitude. They’re losing support from a lot of Spartan factions and too many objective parties have publicly ridiculed MSU’s Admin. https://www.theatlantic.com/education/archive/2018/03/michigan-state-un… I always remember the first rule from Gerald Meyers’ course at Ross on crisis management: “come clean” by admitting the issue in its entirety to which stakeholders are affected. Until that happens, the org has a high probability of repeating the crisis. It’s like Groundhog Day in EL ...

for our dad’s birthday last night. He’s one of the biggest UM haters I have to deal with. He brought up the article and apparently there is a stock Staee script. Blah blah witch hunt. Blah blah guys aren’t even in the program anymore. They were but besides the point I guess. Then friends of his walk up and proceeds to give shit to one of the kids wearing UM hat about “congrats on 2nd place” and something about getting competition trophies for Final Fours in hockey. I let it all slide and didn’t say a thing (except for audibly saying UM beat your ass in b-ball 2X but he didn’t hear). So let them make the same dumbass scum comments while their school slowly rots from inside out. I’ll just keep my mouth shut around them because it’s pointless to argue. And I’ll pick up the check for my dad. Kinda like we taxpayers will be doing when the bill comes due for their institutional incompetence for letting a guy rape 100s of girls while they were just happy to string together some Ws v UM.

They literally care more about the performance of UM teams--and will latch on to anything negative about it that they can muster--than they do about their own teams. It's so mind-boggling to listen to. I get disliking rival teams, but I will never understand why they exalt that dislike above every other value of their fandom.

Its hard to even wrap your mind around how they think.  Michigan bball wins the BIG and finishes ranked (not predicted) 2nd in the county.  Michigan hockey goes to the Frozen 4 ahead of schedule and Michigan had the worse seasons.  Huh.  Yes this is sparty.  Also, please check out the Directors Cup standings for more to the story.

the kid was either late high school or college so not a child.  I'm older so anyone under 25 looks 16 to me nowadays and I refer to as kid.  But my brother can be a massive prick nonetheless.  Master of talking shit - can dish it out but can't take it.

My little brother is nice and encouraging as I am with him. “Brother” implies familial concern and closeness.

Maybe we should change the phrase for Sparty to “Little Prick” or “Little Douche.”

Idk why so many of us Michigan fans are obsessed with what state does. I know they're obsessed with us, but to reciprocate is to stoop down to their level.

but it is topical and I haven't bothered looking for another forum in which to have discussions as I find this board to have both like-minded people who are outraged and enough people playing devil's advocate in case we lose perspective.  This is my therapy and the board is my shrink.

I see them all out rocking their Sparty gear and I can only think it's just the denial phase. I just think, man, I don't know how you can go out in public in that shit.
