how EVERY SINGLE CHARGE from Ingham County is Minimalized to the Lowest possible charge? There is some SERIOUS Corruption going on there

eh, if you've ever worked in a prosecutors office, you'd know that there's always a serious lack of resources. if they took every case to trial, they'd lose most of them due to being unprepared by reason of a massive workload. plea deals basically keep the whole train moving (albeit slowly) and prevent prosecutors from drowning in work.

case and actually took some to trial and nailed their asses, they wouldn't have so much sexual assult going on in their jurisdiction. Keep sending the message that in this culture, sexual assult is no big deal and you will keep getting more of it. East Lansing has become a sanctuary city for sexual assult offenders.

Let’s not paint with a broad brush here about prosecutors.. You have great people who do very hard work for minimal pay. Cases don’t go to trial for numerous reasons but cases aren’t pled out because of a lack of resource.

Is beyond me. If that shit was at UM, I’d burn everything Michigan that I owned and pick a new favorite college to root for. In no way would I want to be associated with the systemic toxicity and depravity of that shithole. How disgusting can one institution be?

Any spartan fans that wanna crossover would be welcomed and nothing held against you.

and sorry if I offended you snowflake, but those comments were idiotic and could accurately be termed retarded. It’s not an offensive word if used correctly, which I think I did. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

40 years old and sick and tired of the constant “I would burn all my shit” rhetoric. I hate State as much as the rest of you, but nobody is burning shit - stop being dramatic. ToledoWolverine is trying to spark debate...and in that regard I guess he is succeeding.

I don’t like the University of Michigan so much that I would turn a blind eye to the evils that have been perpetrated in East Lansing. I guess you and your blind loyalty make for a better fan than I do. It’s a silly argument for you to make but if it makes you feel better, you win little slugger. I was trying to spark a debate with an imbecile about my potential reaction to a situation that hopefully never exists. So maybe, I win? Either way, Kdog “internet badass”, have yourself a great night doing whatever it is you Sparty slappies do when you aren’t sucking down faygo by the gallon while dressed up as clowns, or delivering pizzas or brushing your duncle’s tooth.

On an unrelated sparty note, I nearly walked up to a guy wearing a sparty shirt in NYC today to see his reaction if I "ignorantly" congradulated him on his team's tournament run & consoled him that nobody really could have beat 'Nova.  Bet the little brother would have come out big time.

Instead I decided to go get food.  I was hungry.

What a mess. He didn't play at all this year and can't imagine he's on the team next year. Another bad look for MSU athletics. Campbell and Sims being in article seems kinda grudgy. The weird war between ESPN and MSU going both ways is odd and continues.

I like how she brought up the fact that Harbaugh suspended Grant Perry, and then said that Washington suited up for every game.  Point delivered, but I bet nobody at MSU gets it.

World Wide Leader with the middle finger to Sparty in this paragraph...

On Wednesday, Outside the Lines asked Guerrant whether Engler had any comment about whether he believes Washington is still owed an apology and whether he had anything to say regarding the alleged victim. Guerrant said Thursday that she had not had a chance to speak with Engler.

Neither side has looked particularly good during this.

Her original report - which shouldn't have run until charges were filed - said he was under investigation for sexual assault.  Turns out it was only assault.  Still bad, but notable difference.

Sparty keeps doing wrong things, wrongly covering them up and wrongly blaming victims, their advocates and anyone including the WWL who shines a light on that. I find it ironic, pathetic and sad that Sparty parses ESPN on content accuracy but gives their administration a pass on document destruction and obfuscation.

MSU's treatment of this mess is a pathetic joke at this point, but MSU is too big to die.  What a depressing story this is.  Hard not to lose your faith in our society.  It's that bad.  Engler asked the world to apologize to this kid, on top of the other horrible shit he has said/done...  Jesus Christ...

I've heard some MSU alumni complaining about Engler and the BOT.  Many say they are very unhappy.  They say the president and BOT don't represent true Spartans.  Many of my Spartan friends have asked me to stop posting about this on Facebook because it is unfair and hurtful to them.  They are innocent bystanders to this mess.

Funny though, why are the president and BOT still there?  Are they untouchable?  What about the votes of no confidence?  At some point, don't the good Spartans have a duty to rise up and get these people out of power?  Why isn't that happening?

I think Engler and the Board know their roles.  They can be dispicable while protecting the Univeristy at all costs and the alumni can say "they don't stand for us!"  When their tactics keep the beloved coaches and revenue streams in place the alumni can be happy and maintain their integrity because it was Engler, not them, that stooped as low as necessary.  The good Spartans just happened to benefit from the low blows.  Best of both worlds in a way.  Never underestimate how effective muddying the waters with rhetoric can be.

Anybody remember the South Park episode about people hating politicians but still liking citizens?

Maybe i dreamt it?  I'm going to go on a mission to find it.  Maybe a different show???  I can't articulate it exactly, but the point they made was profound to me.  It's a good system.  You elect a government, the government can run roughshod, then when people complain or implicate you, you say "it's not us, it's them!"

I remember noticing this while traveling in Europe.  Many europeans would say "I hate your government, but I love Americans."

It will be interesting to see what happens when the next election of the board of trustees comes around.  At some point you have to take personal responsibility for the actions of the people you elect to represent you.

Don't start a fight with the media, no matter how small they are. The Orlando Sentinel still writes Urban Meyer hit pieces and it's been 8 years since he coached there.
