MSU pulled out quite a few tricks and plays today to get this W.
however, a great win for them, will be confident heading into next week with some returning players. It’s gonna be a intense battle per usual.

Dantonio is not a great coach. A great coach needs to show more consistency and gets his team prepared for all the games. Remember, Harbaugh has a better record since arriving at Michigan.

I don’t get him. Sometimes his teams suck, but they always seem to pull a few of these out a season. His team always has that resolve we never seem to have, but he’s a weird mix of not great sometimes and then really great.

You would think so, but when they fumble time after time without ever losing it, and throw passes right to DBs without it getting picked, some luck comes into play. They had a key conversion because Davis caught a pass between his knees, FFS. That and PSU shitting the bed by awarding first downs with stupid penalties.
They won another horrible, ugly game, which is exactly their MO.

This gives them extra juice but, more importantly, gives us extra urgency. They've won a few they shouldn't have won against us over the years, so this ensures we will take them seriously.

I don't think it will have an effect on our game with either of them, but this is almost the best outcome for us. MSU is better than we thought but PSU is also not as good as we might have thought. Both are very beatable, hopefully we win tonight.

also on States winning drive, wide receives kept getting injured stopping the clock. Davis went down to stop the clock then 2 plays later he scores the TD.

Every loss exposes Franklin as a sham. Hopefully 2 more coming. 4 losses with mcsorely, who knows how many without him next year. Recruiting should hopefully drop off for them.

PSU's record in close games over the last two/three years has to be pretty terrible. For whatever traits he has, the ability to manage late game situations is clearly not a strong one

After State took a major risk and faked a FG that would have tied it. But Penn State got the ball back with a little over 5 minutes left with a 3 point lead and the momentum. Franklin called three pass plays in a row (I'm fairly certain one was complete and then the receiver stepped out of bounds). They then punted the ball back to State and had only run a minute off the clock. State ultimatley punted on that drive (and Penn State gave it away again) but I still thought it was extraordinarily stupid that Penn State was in such a hurry to give the ball back to State each time.
Dantonio is a good coach but in this game Franklin helped him out big time. I'm actually looking forward to the Penn State game now.

No matter what people will say, Dantonio deserves his pay:
1. Under recruits.
2. Injuries everywhere.
3. Back 2 back PSU wins during their resurgence.
4. Constantly forces opponents to play their game...
PSU had so many opportunities to ice this game.

No explanation for that game. MSU's defense was really good save for 2 long Sanders runs. I don't even know anymore. PSU choked, but MSU seems to just win those crazy games. Dantonio is 10-5 in his last 15 games vs top 10 teams, that's just stupid.
