So the communication team…

So the communication team chose to get the details through the interpreter who was being accused of placing 4.5 million in bets instead of directly from Ohtani.  Got it, makes perfect sense.  Because Mizuhana must be the only person available to speak Japanese and communicate what he was accused of to Ohtani.

With the amount of talent we…

With the amount of talent we're bringing back and our record against Day's Buckeyes I won't be surprised if we win The Game this year.

The problem is if you don't…

The problem is if you don't have a family history of colon cancer you likely aren't going to get one before 45.  They are an expensive procedure and insurance companies aren't going to give one to every person every 5-10 years beginning at age 30.  We have a family history of the disease and I pushed to get my first one as soon as possible.  I know very little about the alternative testing options but hopefully these become viable option so that every one can get tested accurately as young as possible.

I think for some it also…

I think for some it also depends on cost since as of my last one my fairly good insurance covered the procedure but not the prep.  I took the pills last time as it seemed more convenient and I actually thought it was worse as i was downing my 10th horse pill in a 10 minute span.  I've never had my doctor insist on 1 type of prep however, but I also ask for my options when scheduling.

I'm not sure if it's that…

I'm not sure if it's that clear cut.  Yes you want to go second when possessions are equal (college) but there is an advantage to taking the ball first in the NFL playoffs -  If tied after first two possessions you have the ball with the opportunity to end the game.  I'm not sure that outweighs the advantage of the additional information you receive by getting the ball second but it's still something that has to be considered.

I think most people would…

I think most people would rather keep the defensive scheme in place. And providing a place for college or pro advancement with guys familiar with thay system has worked really well the past few years.  I'd argue it was the biggest factor in our on field results the past 3 years.

I could be wrong but I can…

I could be wrong but I can no longer find odds on draft kings for where Harbaugh coaches next year.  Seems to signal a decision has been made.  At least we won't have to wait much longer.

Vegas odds still holding…

Vegas odds still holding steady with about a 67% chance he goes to the NFL and 33% chance he stays at Michigan.  The only fluctuation is that the chargers odds have dropped slightly and falcons has risen.  More indication that nobody really knows anything concrete.

Draft Kings has them if you…

Draft Kings has them if you search Harbaugh.  They however still have the chargers at -250 and "not the head coach of an NFL team" at +175.   I don't see those odds and indicative of insider info and they've been relatively stable for days.  I see this as a guy interviewing for NFL jobs leading most bettors to believe he is likely to take that job if offered.

I think "last one" refers to…

I think "last one" refers to the last post about someone returning which is the Don.  There is no rational thought process that could lead someone to believe that Rod Moore is more important to the team's success than a senior JJ MCarthy.

If the culture is real then…

If the culture is real then his assistants, especially the ones that have been around for a few years own it just as much as he does.  What we've seen from Sherrone Moore emotionally can't be faked.  He owns this culture just as much as Harbaugh.

If he's as good a coach as we think then he will have taught his assistants how to lead in his absence whether for 3 games or for good.

We aren't allowed to lock…

We aren't allowed to lock him down.  John sends them to us and we groom them to be his OC when his guys climb the ladder.  We will get his next up and Comer and cycle will continue as long as Jim is here.

I hope they recognize their…

I hope they recognize their weaknesses, flex out Loveland, put Edwards in motion and spread him out wide on half his snaps.  They don't win this game with the gameplans they had against Penn State, Iowa, or OSU.  I'd hope with a month and a roomful of smart minds they figure out how to take advantage of non-WR matchups.

Tell me you have repressed…

Tell me you have repressed all memories of the Rich Rod Era without telling me.

Didn't realize that #4 for…

Didn't realize that #4 for Iowa was the first gunner to whiff on Morgan initially.  Puts on the afterburners when he's fighting through traffic to track Semaj down.  Hell of a play.

Pro sports have rules to…

Pro sports have rules to keep competitive balance.  They don't always work (MLB American league central division) but over the long haul they do.  How would we feel if Iowa had gone undefeated in the big ten west and won the big10 championship.  Sure it's a leap in logic but the way college football is set up wins and losses can't be the only determining factors for the playoffs

Lack of parity, strength…

Lack of parity, strength across conferences is not equal, teams play only within their "pods".  There has to be a deeper examination than just wins and losses.

It's to the point where I no…

It's to the point where I no longer know if Keith is dead, alive, or has died multiple times.

It almost read as a…

It almost read as a compliment.   Definitely didn't come off as an excuse like I anticipated.

I feel like it's a good…

I feel like it's a good connection for both the Ravens and the Wolverines.  John can send young assistants or analysts that he feels need some seasoning and then hire them back as coordinators when a spot is open and they are ready.  Plus having a college program running a very similar defensive scheme allows them to draft guys who don't need to learn their system.

I sometimes care a little…

I sometimes care a little too much about whether Michigan wins or loses.  Buy I can say honestly that if the lose any of their next games it won't change how happy watching this particular team has made me.

No, if he established…

No, if he established control initially he couldn't fumble it after crossing the goal line.  It would be a TD and play would be dead.  The only 2 outcomes of that play are TD wilson or interception.  I think it was pretty close on replay and was pretty concerned when I saw the replay.  He loses control for a moment before crossing the endzone, resecures it against his body, and then loses control a second time.

Edit: Sorry reading comprehension fail.  If he secured possession and lost possession prior to crossing the goal line there could have been a fumble.  Seemed pretty clear on replay that the issue was "if there ever was possession to begin with" so going from there only an interception or td could be the outcomes.

I went on twitter to make…

I went on twitter to make sure Harbaugh was still our head coach.  Talk about panic inducing website update.

I don't think the suspension…

I don't think the suspension vs. immediate release means much.  They already investigated and seemingly found Stalions at fault.  So once Patridge was tied to him there wasn't a whole lot more investigating to do.

Ah, for some reason I…

Ah, for some reason I thought he wasn't allowed on the sideline.

Is it against the rules to…

Is it against the rules to have him in row 1, 50 yard line, behind our bench for the OSU game?

Local kids have likely been…

Local kids have likely been to football camps at Michigan, their head coaches likely have affinity for the program (or dispise it I suppose), they work out with Devin Gardner.  I don't see how that is unsophisticated.  A college program builds roots with is alum, coaching influence, etc and those roots are going to not have as much of a national reach.

Maybe they didn't want to. …

Maybe they didn't want to.  Some things shouldn't be censored.

I know very little about…

I know very little about Ryan Day as a person but you'd have to be an absolute buffoon to have knowledge of or sanction a firm to investigate your rival when they have owned your ass for the last two years.  Imagine Rich Rod having his brother investigate OSU during his tenure, wouldn't most Michigan fans have shredded him for being a bitch?

I hope to god this is true, it will be fantastic to watch him get devoured by angry hordes of OSU fans after they lose again.

People plugged in with the…

People plugged in with the program but not friendly with it by any means have been spreading computer hacking/Matt Weiss rumors for over a month.  When signal gate dropped I assumed it was always this story with details embellished.  I'm starting to think the hacking practice footage angle has always been a thing eventhough I don't think there's any truth to it.

Why would Jim be on the…

Why would Jim be on the field on a Sunday?  Are the Raiders back in play?

A Michigan Man always pays…

A Michigan Man always pays his debts.

Yeah who would do something…

Yeah who would do something that dumb?  Checks notes, remembers Dave Brandon and 2011.  Nevermind.

Their shuttle runs 2 hours…

Their shuttle runs 2 hours before kickoff so should be 5:30 start this weekend and then it runs a couple hours after the game.  During blowouts it runs during the second half so expect it to start up in the middle of the second quarter.

Tyreek Hill should be the…

Tyreek Hill should be the first guy to get a call.  I'm not sure what the rules are for flag football but I would imagine quickness and speed would be valued over size.

50 yard line tickets can be…

50 yard line tickets can be had for $200 right now.  3 weeks before kickoff that is already dirt cheap for this game.  And who is gonna pay $200 for that ticket after the last couple of weeks?  That market is probably 90% U of M fans - I don't see Sparty's shelling out the amount to watch a quarter and then leave.

Tickets are cheap because…

Tickets are cheap because their fans don't want to be in the stadium after the last 3 weeks.  Spartan Stadium was empty by halftime against both Washington and Maryland.  Expect the same if its an uncompetitive game.  I'm not even sure their fans remember the tunnel incident at this point due to the circumstances of their season.  They might drum up some hate for a quarter but I'm guessing M fans overrun EL this year.

I find my self agreeing with…

I find my self agreeing with you 100% one post and then disagreeing vehemently the next lol.   Mel isn't a martyr.  He's a guy who made stupid decisions and likely believes that he's untouchable because he's a football coach with millions of dollars.  His insinuation that this is related to color of his skin is his only shot at recouping any of his future salary.  And he likely will.  MSU will pay him to go away.  Maybe they are happy to do it based on his record but I feel pretty confident the situation would be identical if he were white.

It is.  He's either guilty…

It is.  He's either guilty of terrible judgment in having a consensual relationship with a person hired to speak to the team about sexual assault (while married) or he's guilty of sexual assault.  What isn't clear?

Wait, he admitted to jerking…

Wait, he admitted to jerking off on the phone with someone they hired to speak to the team about sexual assault and you think his firing is racist?  He had his due process.  He admitted to the best case scenario for him and it's still a fireable offense.   We shit on state all the time, you would have been ok with him still being in charge of the program after what he acknowledged?

Connelly says it will take…

Connelly says it will take at least a few weeks for Colorado's ranking to make sense.  It's still factoring in their season last year and isn't giving them enough weight for positive personnel changes.

The FedEx cup was only set…

The FedEx cup was only set up to pay the best players throughout the year an extra bucket of cash which they couldn't do under the current/soon to be former non-profit structure.  Players have admitted to mailing it in since they have no chance of making East Lake, but ideally they will reinvent the playoffs in the next year or two to create some more intrigue.

Rooting for Harman to not…

Rooting for Harman to not shoot under par today and for Fleetwood not to go too low, just so there is some suspense tomorrow.

Rahm with the round of the day so far which is good for the safety of the cameramen out on the course.

Rory would seemingly be all…

Rory would seemingly be all in on a hickory only major based on his comments last week.  My FIL passed a few months back and now I have a collection of 1980's persimmon fairway woods.  Love hitting those at the range.

I'd start prepping for the…

I'd start prepping for the 8th pick ASAP.  Also enjoy Viktor's shirt today if you get a chance to watch.

I would really doubt there…

I would really doubt there is significant team specific game planning involved.  I'd guess its purely a motivational tool to reinforce that winning a national championship is as important as their other goals of winning the big ten and beating OSU.  Having a dedicated time period where your coaches are saying "you were talented enough to get here but you need to take the extra step" should be good reinforcement for the players.

The Loop by Doak and Forest…

The Loop by Doak and Forest Dunes are great tracks in Roscommon.  Red Hawk in Tawas.  GR has the Mines and Pilgrims run both by Devries who did Greywalls.  If you know someone who can get you on Kingsley jump at it very quickly.  Also Calderone in Jackson.

Grewyalls is worth the trip.  There are a ton of great UP courses.  Sweetgrass is world class and they have a newish course nearby Sage Run.   We will be doing a trip this summer which is most Upper Peninsula courses.

Really depends if there is an area you want to stick to.  Calderone, U of M, plus a couple of GR courses would be a pretty good trip in my opinion.

Rory has likely known for a…

Rory has likely known for a couple of weeks, which explains his sudden indifference toward LIV.  He's on the player board and the board has to approve the merger which means unless Jay is an even bigger asshat than thought he has gotten the approval of the board for this move.  It also makes me think that there is going to be significant compensation to all of the players who remained on the PGA tour otherwise Jay, Rory, Cantlay and the rest of the Policy Board are going to get shredded this evening.

They chose not it because…

They chose not to take it (in part, but a BIG part) because they were threatened with expulsion from a league that is now welcoming these guys back.  If Jay Monahan doesn't walk into the player meeting at 4:00 with an enormous bag of cash they are going to eat him fucking alive.

I remember the days of PASS…

I remember the days of PASS sports (which my parents wouldn't purchase) and being able to watch more Chicago Bulls games living in Detroit than Pistons games.  I'm not sure what percentage of Pistons/Tigers/Wings games were actually available on free network TV.  I do know that in order to watch the Lions we had to occasionally find bars that had the games due to the leagues local blackout rules for non sell out games.  The more things change...
