Some video of the team arriving in Arizona, with a couple questions from the media // Also, who the announcing crew for the game will be

I don't think it's Molly.

I think it's anyone he doesn't interact with regularly.

You could say the same about Rinaldi. He did the exact same thing to him (Taft was gone for the World Cup).

Now Molly's might look a little worse because she'll try harder to get the interview...whereas Taft will willingly just move on to the players. Sometimes Taft won't even go after Harbaugh, she'll just lead with "Well Gus, Coach Harbaugh was on the move, but we've got JJ McCarthy and Donovan Edwards down here with us..."

But that could be familiarity in her part as well. Taft used to get shafted big time in the beginning before she accepted that he's just not going to do it. Now she either moves on, or if she gets Harbaugh, she'll always start with "Coach, just one question and then we'll interview these guys." And she sticks to her one question and moves on like she said she would.

Molly (and others who don't know) will physically grab him and try to get his attention.

That said, she may not be on the Michigan sideline and if she is, she may know now...Harbaugh isn't going to do the postgame.

Again, this shouldn't be a "thing" - Michigan's Media Relations department could've handle this a year ago.

Agree that McDonough and Blackledge aren't a great option. But honestly, college football as a whole is lacking in quality commentary/analysis. All of the "talent" seems to be allotted toward Sundays.  College football is used to throw "rookie" analysts into the deep end, with the "best" being quickly shuffled off to the NFL. There's 20-30 games broadcast on any given Saturday, and what 2 or 3 good "teams"?

I know I, for one, can't wait to hear about what basic bitch restaurant Todd ate at in Scottsdale on Thursday. (Fingers crossed he went to Del Taco!!) And then to hear their "witty" banter about it while 2-3 plays are taking place on the field.

WRT to Molly. Agree with the others. Jim just doesn't want to do the interviews and wants the spotlight on the players. He either lacks the tact or interest to transition the sideline reporter easily. So, it just looks and feels awkward every time.

I see the jokes about Southwest. I just hope none of you are expecting to fly Southwest to the bowl game. Their scheduling system is still all effed up. One of my daughters had a ticket to fly home on Christmas Eve. Flight canceled.  She has rebooked each day since..same result. Her latest re-shedule would have gotten her home Thursday. That has just been canceled as well. The earlies she can book now is for January 1st.

Edit: I see reports that Southwest is only flying 1/3 of their flights through Friday.

Did Mazi Smith travel or does he have to await his court appearance on the 29th before flying down?

Edit: Nevermind. It appears his sentencing was delayed till mid-January. That’s good, albeit now old, news.
