So we digress....who were the secret/surprise recruits present?
I officially forgot about the Iowa loss, and need to digress so I stop getting nervous as whole about the program, founded or unfounded. And the digression is wondering who the secret/surprise recruit(s) were, so I can then hope for the future, especially if they are to be on defense.
Can anyone join me here, and let me know who these guys are that were there who Sam wouldn't tell us?

Really? Who cares about recruits right now? If RichRod doesn't get it going he won't be here and the new coach will have to try to save this class.

I hope the defensive recruits see the opportunity to make an impact and be part of a turnaround with the defense.
October 16th, 2010 at 7:08 PM ^
Yes, why don't we turn all of the threads, even ones attempting to be productive, into mindless RR bitching?
October 16th, 2010 at 7:08 PM ^
Because recruits are what builds programs.
October 16th, 2010 at 7:11 PM ^
I'm glad the coaches don't think like you.

I CARE because its these upcoming recruits that will save him and this current program. The defense is piss-poor, as is the special teams, but we really need to land a bunch of top defensive recruits.

Sorry for being so negative. What do you see our record at the end of the season?
Penn St. - Coin Flip
Illinois - Coin Flip
Purdus - Should be a win
Wisky - Loss
OSU - Loss
Are we happy going 7-5?
October 16th, 2010 at 7:23 PM ^
im going to be optimistic 8-4. ( exactly what i predicted). We knew we were going to lose games, we must keep moving forward!!
October 16th, 2010 at 7:29 PM ^
I don't see PSU as being a coin flip because their offense is just bad enough, and their defense meh enouyh, that UM should be able to pull away even on the road. Purdue could be close.

Purdue will be RichRod redemption and revenge game.
October 17th, 2010 at 8:19 AM ^
every big ten game is RR's redemption and revenge game, unfortunately because he's only beaten three big ten teams in 2.5 years...
October 16th, 2010 at 7:24 PM ^
anyways..who were they?
October 16th, 2010 at 7:36 PM ^
I am going to be optomistic and believe that this was a good game for a recruit to attend. Exciting to the end. Great atmosphere. Almost a miracle comeback. But most of all maybe they can see that we need them. We need them now.
October 16th, 2010 at 7:47 PM ^
I don't know who was there, but if they stayed through the fourth they got to see the craziest I've ever seen the big house. Hard to believe they wouldn't be blown away by that.

who the recruits were but I am sure they were impressed by the Michigan fans booing the team at the end of the first half. Sometimes I am so ashamed of the Michigan fan base...

I am a Michigan fan by locale (did not attend, but moved here almost 9 years ago and have gone full BLUE) so I often get the "you don't understand" logic when I try to remain positive about this team. I know there are those who feel we should win the game because we are Michigan and that's what we have done for the last 400 years. While I would love that to be the case, it's just not logical and makes us look arrogant.
I come from teams where you may have a down year here and there, but you ALWAYS support your team. My high school football team sucked for 30 years where ANY win was a big deal...TDs were special! :-) However, you don't get up and walk out when they are down. You don't ever boo your team. You can be frustrated when things don't go well, but you have to exhibit the same short memory we ask of our players when they make a bad play. The most depressing thing for me is knowing the visiting team and fans have the pleasure of watching SOME "fans" turn on our team and coaches during the game.
I am ALL IN for this team. I will be there early, and I will not leave until the final whistle blows. I will remain hopeful and supportive because that is what a fan does. We will be back, and there are so many things (even in losses) that are proof of this.
THOSE WHO STAY WILL BE CHAMPIONS! GO BLUE!

Lloyd used to get booed the same way at the ends of halves some times. I don't think thats a huge deal. The fans want exciting plays and the coaches want to get into the locker room without more damage.

take away from the game the excitement that the comeback provided. We all want to win.

I had sideline passes today (via donation to Mott at the Spring Game). I saw most everyone above. I did talk to Damon Knox's mother after the game and she said she and her son had a great time and she is hoping to be a Michigan Wolverine Mother. I watched pregame with Funderburk and Drew Owens and Jernigan. I was happy to see that Zettel and Fisher seemed to spend their time together. It's nice to see a recruit "bonding" with a committed guy.
The recruits were all standing in the 4th quarter and were "into" the game. I was looking for the "surprise" recruit, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out who it was. I ran into a photographer, who, when we talked about Michigan Football began to quote the Mathlete. Gotta Love MGo Blog!!!

Jernigan who had stated he would visit the other one couldn't make for personal reasons and planns to be here for Illinois. The southern analyst for Scout had said that while Jernigan has always listed Michigan they never thought he would make the visit. That is why he was one of the "mystery" visitors. Jernigan and Zettel would make a great start to a future D line as both are top 60 guys according to Rivals.
