JJ looked unbelievable. His ability to calmly navigate around pressure is what stood out to me. It used to be an immediate rollout toward the sideline to the right followed by a lot of scrambles. Yesterday he was just shifting around without closing off half the field unless absolutely necessary. The look-off throw was high level quarterbacking as well.

That was my biggest takeaway from the game. JJ's pocket awareness was 100 times better than last year. He calmly shifted around in the pocket, whether it was climbing aggressively, shifting a couple feet to the left, rolling out to escape pressure. He made the correct decision almost every single time

If he keeps doing that he's going to have a stupendous year and it will take our offense to the next level.

Every issue people have complained about since yesterday is very correctable. I thought Michigan looked great yesterday and I can be super negative about how Harbaugh does things.

I know this I've watched Michigan since the late 80s and it hasn't been a ton of times Michigan has went to the air when other team is screaming 9-10 guys at line of scrimmage. This happened quickly yesterday.

All I know is that the throw from McCarthy at 9:18 of the third quarter is something we haven’t seen from a Michigan QB in a long, long time.

I was really happy with Josh Wallace's performance -- came in and played like a well-seasoned athletic veteran!  That interception he had was spectacular skill, while also being exactly in the right spot he needed to be for the play called.

Those numbers appear about right to me — except as someone said Roman Wilson probably deserved a bit more. Meh scores for O line esp tackles = yep, that’s what it looked like live. Ditto for edge. DTs esp Grant looked good. Secondary got a little grade inflation from easy competition to my eye, but all in all: these scores seem about right. JJ’s could’ve been even higher — did almost everything perfectly.

It’s game one, but JJ looks in complete control and he won’t put up the same numbers as Caleb Williams because USC will have to out score several teams this year, but he is looking like a true Heisman candidate. Although I do think voters get tired of hearing the same names all the time, and our big games are at the end of the year, which should help with a late surge.

I'm more worried about our backup QBs. So far they have not looked too good. If JJ gets inured and has to stay out a few to several games we could be in big trouble.

I’m curious as to why Hinton started over Henderson? Hinton was billed to be a project while as Henderson was billed to be that guy. Hinton ended up heading out 2nd worst of all O linemen and the o line needs time to work on Chemistry. I would think the coaches saw Henderson was better in practice yet still started Hinton?

These seem to match my untrained eyes. Secondary looked good, Grant was awesome, WRs pretty good, JJ awesome, OL not great, Stanford guys pretty disappointing debut.
