If there is a silver lining, he was able to spend more time mastering the new playbook (to the extent it's changed from last season.)

Also, if he had beaten out Cade in the spring, Cade would be hitting the portal now to try and get game reps as a starter on another Power 5 team.  This way, the battle to see who will be the starter Sept 3rd has been deferred until the fall, when it will be too late to transfer.  We will have both Cade and JJ for 2022 which is an awesome result.

Get outta here with that 'waste of time' rubbish.  If there's a chance you can avoid surgery, you take it.  While you're rehabbing, at least they're not cutting into you.  These are kids, they aren't obliged to get carved up to improve their entertainment value to us.

Heart skips a beat when I see “Report” and “JJ McCarthy”. I’m still in BPONE recovery; maybe need to find a meeting

I fully expect his shoulder to be an ongoing problem that severely limits his ceiling at Michigan.  Of course he'll go on to win 3 superbowls in the NFL.

I agree, and, maybe Lloyd would've had another had he actually let Brady play instead of platooning him with Henson. That, and actually throw the ball before getting behind and being forced to. How did none of those coaches ever think, "hey, we seem to score more easily when we open up the offense and let Brady throw it to these multiple talented receivers we have, maybe we should do more of that"?
