Semi OT - PSU fires Yurcich

That was penn state's sixth offensive coordinator in franklin's ten years as head coach. 

Seems like the school is firing the wrong coach.

I thought the throwback to Allar and the Allar runs were good play calls. The one RB was pretty good, so dishing to him was good. Allar just can’t throw under pressure. I mean he threw it to absolutely no one multiple times. Plus Frames bonehead calls lost the game.

So instead of throwing Allar under the bus, he threw the OC under the bus.  Hey Frames, if you want to figure out what the problem is, just look in the mirror.

That is treating the symptom, not the disease.  Which is good news for us!

Isn't Frames the one who said something along the line the judges his assistants on how good looking is their wife.  Perhaps, Mrs. Yurcich had a set back in the looks department.

PSU would be dumb to fire Franklin; the odds of finding someone better I think are quite low. See: Nebraska.

This wasn't because of the fans. This is Frames trying to save his own ass after whining the reason he lost was because of signs being stolen before the first quarter was completed and then losing to a substitute head coach when Harbaugh was suspended on the plane ride to the game. He is out of excuses for his permanent residency in third place.

Third Base is next to fire a coordinator after likewise being out of excuses for getting whupped.

From what I saw, PSU fans were unhappy (well, with a lot of things) with the game plan and lack of passing. They thought that what they saw against Maryland was the real PSU offense.

I also wanted Alar to pass more. I was very happy when he dropped back to pass. I can't believe they wanted more of that and thought the problem there wasn't enough of it.

Moorhead was the only good DC he's had, and he left and then flamed out at Miss St as a HC.

The lack of good WRs like Dotson has hurt them. They could use a Morgan type guy, who's only our 3rd WR. 

I also think their OL was overrated and the transfer LT isn't as great as everyone made him out to be. 

Frames does what Frames does - his O is the definition of insanity - doing the same thing over and over again (firing OCs) but expecting a different result. 

4 and 16 keep it up!

Looks like the Penn St. mob needed a victim to blame for their offensive problems.  

Wow that was quick. Yurcich must not be his son.  

So, was thinking during yesterday’s game that Manny Diaz might actually be a good hire for MSU.  Solid defensive coach, prev HC experience.  Don’t know much of him and whether there is any dirt on him, but seems like a pretty good dude.

Would be rough for PSU if he split and Frames had to rebuild both sides of the ball.

I don't blame Penn State. That was kind of a wet fart of a game called by their OC.
