Semi-OT: Brady Hoke Weight Loss

Submitted by Ishgoblue on

Not to Hoke-bash or anything, but while perusing the interwebs, I came across this picture. It seems like the new Oregon DC has lost quite a bit of weight (40lbs courtesy of ESPN). LOOK AT DEM LEGZ. Ahem. Hoke's legs.

Good for Brady always happy to see fellow old bulls taking take of themselves!  Once you get in shape you can outrun the young bulls down the hill and get first dibs on the....er n/m

Yep, good for Brady. I have nothing against him at all. Came here, did his best and set a standard for integrity. It didn't work out and he lost his dream job. The pain he must have felt; I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Losing weight is hard to do, especially when under stress. I applaud him and hope everything goes great for him at Oregon.

Hoke's quote on his own weight loss: "It hasn't been easy, but I'm a competitor. I've been working hard at it. Really hard. I'm working my ass off and it's going OK and I'm getting thinner. But I gotta get back to work and work harder and compete. It's not enough to just see the weight loss. You have to HEAR the weight loss."

However, the original comment still reads like he's seeing his feet for the first time in a long while.  Only you can say what your intent was, but it comes off as mean the way you worded it. Hoke deserved to be fired but not mocked.

Good to see him taking care of himself. He was looking pretty bad at the end of his Michigan tenure. Hope he finds success up in Oregon.
