Missed the beginning of the game, was Metellus out all game?
November 10th, 2018 at 6:41 PM ^
Any reason?
November 10th, 2018 at 6:41 PM ^
He dressed, warmed up, and was laughing on the sideline. He's probably fine.
November 10th, 2018 at 7:38 PM ^
Soft tissue injury.
November 10th, 2018 at 7:05 PM ^
But what about Martellus? Was he playing?
November 10th, 2018 at 7:46 PM ^
Asking the real questions
November 10th, 2018 at 6:38 PM ^
Besides the one gaff business as usual
November 10th, 2018 at 7:34 PM ^
Missed a passing Rutger by 18 yards...
November 10th, 2018 at 8:18 PM ^
We had a passing Rutger against their stating QB.
The got 16 yards on some trickeration play with the back up QB
November 10th, 2018 at 6:40 PM ^
Good enough for a blowout and juuuusssttttt bad enough to get their ass chewed. The exact performance we needed.
November 10th, 2018 at 7:07 PM ^
My thoughts exactly. Good take.
November 10th, 2018 at 7:44 PM ^
That was a great take on today’s game. Couldn’t put my finger on what seemed wrong but you did it for me. I was somewhat disappointed in the defense after the past few games. But, focus on Indiana now. They looked pretty good today. It won’t be a cake walk, that’s for sure.
November 10th, 2018 at 7:44 PM ^
Sorry, double post.
November 10th, 2018 at 6:40 PM ^
Don Brown better tighten up that run defense!
November 10th, 2018 at 7:02 PM ^
Agreed. Rutgers has some good backs, but we will get gashed against Ohio State if we can't fix it within the next couple of weeks.
November 10th, 2018 at 7:28 PM ^
Ohio State's running game isn't that great this year. Pretty sure the UM D won't have any problem getting "up" for that game.
November 10th, 2018 at 7:29 PM ^
Ohio State can’t run. Are you kidding me with “we will get gashed”?
November 10th, 2018 at 10:01 PM ^
Do you think it may be possible that OSU hasn’t showed everything either or is that just us? OSU will be formidable across the board. Our defense is good and we may very well beat OSU but we aren’t going to “shut them down.”
November 11th, 2018 at 2:09 PM ^
It's possible, but they almost lost their chance at the division and conference yesterday before MSU decided to give the game away. If they had anything, they would have used it. They can always install it this week, though.
November 10th, 2018 at 11:08 PM ^
Umm...no.
November 11th, 2018 at 2:45 AM ^
Gashed against it she says. Is JT Barrett coming back to play and hand the ball off? Or maybe the Martel kid spazoid that cant throw worth a damn ? Haskins had a nice run last year against Michigan in the Big House. That was a complete break down and streak of luck. Haskins running the read option as a threat is like Ben Rothlisberger in a 100m dash. Terrible. If the bucs get anything in their run game, it's a bad read on the defense and streak of luck. You think it's coincidence they've been passing all year?
November 11th, 2018 at 3:09 AM ^
I read this post and was wondered what the Tampa Bay Bucaneers have to do with UM. But I think you shortened fuckeys to "bucs" instead of "bucks". I get it now.
November 10th, 2018 at 6:40 PM ^
Other than the one big play, Rutgers never had a chance. Not a stat win, but another good learning experience for the D.
November 10th, 2018 at 6:40 PM ^
Big Ten QBs against Michigan
Martinez (NEB): 7/15 (47%), 22 yds, 0 TD, 1 INT
Thorson (NW): 16/27 (59%), 174 yds, 0 TD, 0 INT
Hill (MD): 5/10 (50%), 62 yds, 0 TD, 1 INT
Hornibrook (WISC): 7/20 (35%), 100 yds, 1 TD 2 INT
Lewerke (MSU): 5/25 (20%), 66 yds, 0 TD 0 INT
McSorley (PSU): 5/13 (38%), 83 yds 0 TD 1 INT
Sitkowski (RUT): 7/18 (39%), 39 yds 0 TD 1 INT
Combined Stats: 52/128 (40%), 546 yds, 1 TD, 6 INT
Excluding Thorson's Stats: 36/101 (35.6%), 1 TD, 6 INT
November 10th, 2018 at 6:46 PM ^
The pass D is locked in and on lockdown.
Still a little chaotic on D regarding pursuit.
November 10th, 2018 at 7:09 PM ^
And that was without Metellus and a half without Hill.
November 10th, 2018 at 6:58 PM ^
REDICULOUS! That would be a "good" to "ok" day for most defenses for ONE game. Just... Wow.
November 11th, 2018 at 9:28 AM ^
For a little perspective, Oklahoma gave up 501 passing yards yesterday. In one game.
November 10th, 2018 at 6:41 PM ^
Pls get healthy.
November 10th, 2018 at 6:41 PM ^
Any injuries? I missed some of the game, and heard the announcers talk about some injuries on our defense. Anything serious?
November 10th, 2018 at 6:43 PM ^
Paye and Hill both left the game and walked up the tunnel with a trainer. Metellus never played.
November 10th, 2018 at 6:43 PM ^
Levert Hill likely had a concussion.
Paye had a shoulder injury.
Uche went out with an ankle injury, got taped up, and was running around on the sideline. He would have been able to go back in if needed.
November 10th, 2018 at 6:44 PM ^
Hill walked off in the 2nd, unknown
Paye seemed to hurt his shoulder, walked off under own in 3rd
November 10th, 2018 at 6:44 PM ^
Solomon did not warm up / dress. Metellus warmed up but did not play. Hill and Paye got dinged and walked to the locker room and did not return.
November 10th, 2018 at 6:48 PM ^
Hill and Paye walked off under their own power. I think as long as they’re good to go against OSU, we can survive without them.
November 10th, 2018 at 6:44 PM ^
Got fooled a couple times, got run on a couple times...C+/B- until the Ambry pick...I give them a B.
November 10th, 2018 at 6:45 PM ^
Who cares?
November 10th, 2018 at 6:46 PM ^
One busted play. Otherwise the defense was still excellent.
November 10th, 2018 at 7:16 PM ^
Lot of Rutgers drops. That first screen could have scored.
November 11th, 2018 at 4:26 AM ^
Lol.
Rutger is from New Jersey. Those bros always "could've scored."
November 10th, 2018 at 6:45 PM ^
Just get Hill, Metellus, Paye healthy. Performance doesn't matter.
November 10th, 2018 at 6:47 PM ^
One bad play. Beyond that, domination.
Defense was FINE today.
November 10th, 2018 at 6:47 PM ^
Thinking Hawkins had a pretty shit day when the defensive UFR comes out.
November 10th, 2018 at 6:57 PM ^
Yeah. Hawkins did not give full effort on the long td
November 10th, 2018 at 10:27 PM ^
That was Kinnel's bust. Hawkins was expecting Kinnel to funnel back and needed to cover for the cut back. He really didn't have a chance when the back had room to run to the space Kinnel vacated.
November 10th, 2018 at 8:13 PM ^
Unfortunately, the early returns on Hawkins at Safety are not promising.
- Gave up the how-the-hell-did-he-not-intercept-that TD against ND.
- Gave up the uncontested TD pass against SMU.
- Gave up the 80 yard TD run against Rutgers.
It feels like most of the really bad TD's UM has allowed this year have involved Hawkins.
