Rudock now #1 for passing TD's in one game

Submitted by Go Blue Eyes on

Jake Rudock broke the record of 4 TD's in one game (held by a lot) with his 6 TD's tonight.  Tied for second in completions in game behind Tom Brady.

Jehu Chesson is tied for TD receptions in one game with Derrick Alexander.

What a night!

I'm hoping Rudock is finding his zen because he was on tonight. It wasn't just guys ridiculously wide open but he was actually zinging them in there.

The Michigan fan in me assumes it's just because it's Rutgers and IU (and I'm sure part of it is) but I dunno...looks like he's settling in

I agree. Rudock wasn't a statue. Rudock took almost everything the defense gave him.

I was a little disappointed with the 1 interception, but if you through 6 TDs to 1 INT I'll take that against every single team in CFB, in any year, in any week. That was INSANE!.

I'm so glad Rudock took this game and put the team on his shoulders and said "No. We refuse to lose."

What's weird is I was just looking at the records yesterday and saw that the TD record for QBs in a game was a bunch of guys at 4.

Rudock has earned it...that's what pissed me off to no end early in the year. The guy got no spring or summer reps with this team. But you could just see if you actually paid attention...he was a solid QB. I'm not going to go overboard. He's not winning a Heisman...but he can lead this team to a B1G championship.

Umm, we should still beat PSU. It's not crazy to think we can hang with OSU, even if we are the underdog in that one...so yes, it is still within the realm of possibility that we play for the B1G title. Losing Glasgow hurts, but we still have a good team and elite coaches.

Right now, we're one Glasgow away from having the right to feel great about our chances against OSU.  Even thugh we don't have that Glasgow, I feel great about our chances against PSU and good (not great) about OSU.  That's still a nice place to be in at that point in the season!

Cool stat but it gets an asterisk since two TDs came in extra periods. Not the same as doing it within the 60 minutes of regulation.

Congrats to Jake. I beg forgiveness for my criticisms about him not being able to throw a deep pass.
I wondered what would happen if the offense needed to be the driving force behind a win and I suppose they can handle it. I doubt we are celebrating a win if this was one year ago and Hoke was the coach. Michigan would have not been mentally tough enough to win.

TDs, not TD's.

"TD's" is possessive, though a touchdown cannot possess anything. "TDs" is plural.

there were more than 4 Tds in the Braylen UTL game.

I am happy for Jake. I have been a strong critic all year. I didn't think he would be good enough to win a game for us, but he has been on fire the last 3 games. He is getting better and I like it.

I still think that overtime stats should be listed as overtime stats & not counted in the season/game totals.  You can't compare OT states with regulation stats.

Not taking anything away from Rudock or anybody else... OT just isn't the same rules.
