RR defenses didn’t do this badly against OSU. Fire Don Brown.

Undisciplined. Outschemed.

Everyone wanted to fire Pep. Time to fire Don and his pornstache.

Yes lot of little mistakes both sides ball, the problem is not Don Brown, the defensive line is undersized and no depth and this is why M can only hang for about 2 quarters. The recruiting and development of the d line is not good right now. Mazi smith and Hinton r 2 big recruits and barely play. And the 2020 class has ZERO DT’s!  That’s where the game is won. Why was michigan elite in 2016? Deep and talented defensive line

Wrong. RR's defenses were worse than Don Brown's.

That said, Don Brown deserves to be ushered out. 28 points at half in The Game? Terrible late hit penalty on first drive of 2nd Half to give them 35?

He's overrated. We have enough history now. He needs to be ushered out.

Maybe because Brown teaches "Solve your problems with aggression" mentality, which has its good's and bad's. The bad's being regular stupid penalties by the defense like offsides on a 4th & 4 punt and late hit out-of-bounds.

Stop coddling incompetency. We've been doing it since the very first year when Woodson left for the NFL and Lloyd Carr remained our coach until 2007. It explains our 2-17 record against OSU. Only leaders understand this. MSC and Bill Martin and Dave Brandon were not leaders. If Manuel lets go of Harbaugh, after his A+ hire of Howard, then I will believe he is a leader.

Instead of pulling the race card, you could admit that the fact that Brown has produced a top 10 ranked defense every single year he’s been here and the defense has singlehandedly kept us in/won multiple games is what has given him a longer leash.

You REALLY want to pull the race card? We can compare how Pep’s offenses have ranked vs how Brown’s defenses have ranked if you’d like.

Harbaugh is the best we can do. Right guys?

Ryan Day looks like his mom drank a fifth a day while she was pregnant, but he’s outcoaching this entire staff.

Not sure which game you watched, but Day didn’t outcoach anyone. He simply has better horses on the field, which is a carry over from Meyer. OSU did absolutely nothing spectacular  or unexpected in this game. Read the MGoBlog articles by Brian and team, they predicted this is how Day coached this game and how he’s coached every game. His basic philosophy is whether or not the opponent can keep up with his 5 star thoroughbreds. 100% of the time in the Big Ten, they can’t. We sure can’t keep up.

How exactly did he out-coach anyone? They’re just flat out better. More talent. Period.

Their gameplan is incredibly simple. They just have so much more talent than everyone, including us, that it’s all they need. The breakdowns of this game all week covered this. It’s going to be simple. It’s going to look like an 8 year old kid’s playbook on Madden. But it’s going to work because they have that much elite talent.

Day didn’t coach better. He simply had better players at every position across the board.

He is a decent coach. Aggressive and crushes inferior teams, but is a one flavor coach. I appreciate him for what he is, but it's time for him to go. Who knows if the next guy will be better, but we do know Brown can't get it done.

The piss poor recruiting by Harbaugh has never been more evident. You can NOT rely on under the radar  3 star guys you see at a satellite camp.      We never wanted to admit it and always defended the coaches finding diamonds in the rough. You cannot beat Ohio State without elite 5 star talent

To be fair RR defense didn't deal with

top 5 Heisman QB

RB who in 2 years is #2 ALL TIME on OSU rushing charts and would be in the Heisman talk if 2 of his teammates weren't #2 and #4 in the voting.

an OSU team that's going to win the National title.

a 5 star player at every position

RR's team would give up 90 to this OSU team/

We need to focus on our DT recruiting, and get a BIG time CB each recruiting year.

There is only so much you can do if an elite OLine is going up against a vastly undersized lined.

Players have played a bad game defensively.  It's not all on the coach. I saw many wrong assignments.

I get tired of hearing this.  OSU did not have NEAR the team they have had of the past 7 years then.  This is still a Meyer team.  Much like Switzer road the high from Jimmy Johnson's Dallas team to win his SB this is what is still going on now with Day.  Day is not Meyer and this won't last just like Dallas fell of the grid shortly after that win.

There were at least 3 huge mistakes by the D in this game along with the offsides on that punt, along with a frustrated 44 hitting the QB out of bounds.

Our offense is for sure getting a WHOLE lot better and OSU is a good team and yes I hate saying that.  We have made strides this year and I still feel we are kepping this game respectable.  This is not an easy game for them.  Way too many mistakes in this game that we had to play super clean.

I appreciate Your take here and definitely hope you are accurate in this prediction. I happen To agree with you about Day. He’s not proven anything. When you have vastly superior athletes, it’s just as simple as rolling out the ball on the field and challenging your opponent to try to keep up with your horses.

unfortunately, a playoff appearance in his debut season doesn’t spell well for Harbaugh’s hopes of winning any recruiting battles against Day. To recruits and their families, Harbaugh simply looks like he can’t get the job done, although I think He’s the best option we have.

in terms of coaching, Brown should be the only one on the hot seat IMO

If we were in person right now, I’d physically alter your day. This OSU team is #1 and likely to win it all.

This UM performance has shown a lot of grit and talent. I’m proud of this team and good luck Clemson or LSU.
