Reminder that in 2020, the Big Ten changed the rules to benefit OSU

Ohio State didn’t qualify to go to the Big Ten championship game in 2020, but the league bent the rules to allow them in.

This smoothed the path for that year’s OSU team to make the playoffs as well.

I really do want to ask: why are we staying in this league again?

The point is OSU was going to be inconvenienced by a rule that in retrospect, was possibly unfair to them.

So, of course the B1G rides to OSUs rescue.

Today, Michigan is afoul of a rule that I bet 99% of us could not explain last month and even today, you can’t three non OSU or MSU folks to agree exactly what you can or cannot legally do.

Does the B1G ride in with a rules interpretation helpful to Michigan? Fuck no.

Torches and pitchforks for us.

We all know they would not do this to OSU in 1,000,000 years.

If Michigan were to leave the Big Ten and go to the SEC, what would be the implications for Michigan from an academic standpoint. If the school can keep its academic standing, then Michigan should look to leave. Vanderbilt can keep academic prestige by being in the SEC. Why would Michigan not be able to do the same. I am asking because I do not fully understand that portion of the deal. I could argue Michigan would receive a bigger TV contract going to the SEC with potential matchups vs. Alabama, LSU, Texas, Oklahoma, A&M, and Georgia. Even lesser opponents such as Auburn, Ole Miss, Missouri, and Tennessee would still be more interesting and intriguing matchups for viewership compared to teams like Purdue, Indiana, Minnesota, Rutgers, etc. The key negative factor would be losing academic standing.

I assume you are being facetious or just trolling.  Even the refs from the 2002 Kings/Lakers series would think that The Game in 2016 was fixed.  Literal tackling of the Michigan receiver a full second before the ball arrives?  Great timing, my Buckeye friend.  Pushing the OSU receiver after the uncatchable ball sailed over his head?  Pass interference, and game saving drive continues.  10-12 coin-flip calls all go in OSU's favor, but that is just random, right?

I can't say that the refs were paid or told to fix that game.  I am just saying that if you were going to fix a game, it looks just like that.

How about 2016 when OSU and the homegrown Refs blatantly cheated Michigan. Remember that?

The video exposing the ref cheating should be on a permanent loop now more than ever. I;ll never let that game go, and it was way worse, and effected the outcome way more, than any of this sign crap.

It just goes to show how fragile OSU is. Harbaugh and Michigan eat that and more losses to follow. We don't tuck tail to the NCAA and cry. Harbaugh worked harder got better. Michigan broke OSU in two seasons.
