The rule itself is just wrong. There's no way in hell you should rob any kid of playing time for something you are judging as intentional.

The rule needs to change. It should be blantantly obvious if it's EVER called. I just loathe the rule.

But for them to review the call and UPHOLD THE CALL is just asinine. Completely inexcusable and really embarrassing for their crew.

to blame refs - but we lost a player and gave up a TD because of them.  And furthermore, how could they not call a PF of Scott for taunting?  It was right in front of the ref.  Terrible.

This rule needs immediate attention....two weeks, two bullshit calls, two UM seniors missing part of the biggest game of their lives.

Fuck off refs...and to the assholes reviewing these calls and upholding them, double fuck yourselves!

How can that Bolden penalty be called targeting if the State player literally threw Bolden into Cook?  Wouldn't Bolden have to intentionally target Cook in order for that penalty to be called?  How did the replay official not catch this?

Calling the play in real time is one thing, but reviewing it and then ejecting him for being thrown into a player is just ridiculous. There has to be an appeal process for suspensions like James Ross had, as well.

You have to get it right 100% of the time. Not sometimes, but always. And I know that's why they put in the automatic replay, but if even they can't get it right, you can't have that rule. And I think that's a shame they can't get it right, because it's in theory a good rule.

Let's not forget the "holding" call on Lewis during MSU's second drive. The receiver ran into the official, tripped, and Lewis fell on him. At least we have the lead and the ball to start the second half though.

Without any regard to the ramifications.  That's not to say that they should be worried about what happens to the player kicked out, but it was so marginal........no not marginal, but not even fucking close.  So we are denied one of our better players who got shoved into the guy on the ground

Fucking bullshit.

Not only the targeting call but the missed pick on peppers on MSU's second drive. Isn't this the same crew that had a few terrible calls against us in the oregon state game? The fact that the replay official upheld that targeting call is a testament to a need for change in nfl and ncaa officiating. For all the money the ncaa makes, enough of having a high school social studies teacher play football God.
