I'm going to savor every second of it because it just might be the only time in my life that UM is ahead of the meta on at least one side of the ball. I think there's an argument they're ahead on offense as well, which I never thought I'd see. I don't care what happens from here on out - ok I do - but either way, this 3 year run will go down as one of the greatest in UM football history and I'm glad to have witnessed it.

CJ Stroud did not "struggle" against Michigan's defense.  He was what kept them in the games. Yes he had 2 picks but nearly a 70% completion rate. (yes great WRs but so does every OSU QB last decade)

As a rookie NFL QB on the road in his first playoff game he did struggle against the Ravens defense.  But not against Michigan.

65 of 97 67% for 743 yards and 4 TDs 2 INTs

Because "culture" doesn't actually exist as a causative force. Culture is a by-product of winning, not the other way around.

Expertise and knowledge, leadership.. Those exist. If those guys have it, and want to be play callers, great. I have nothing against them at all.  IMO, culture has nothing to do with it, especially at the DC level.

Oh well.  I guess Uncle John isn’t going to let us borrow stuff now that Dad’s left, moved to California, and found someone new.

I thought Orr was good to consider and I assume we did.  Who knows - it’s fine.  I think any combo of the current team would be good.  If we go outside the program, I’d like to get someone who knows the system and/or has called plays on the defensive side.

Our DC will be Clink. When did Minter officially resign? Last Friday or Saturday? The 7 day state rule that applied to the Head Coach role applies for the DC and OC openings, too. I’d expect OC and DC announcements in the next 24-72 hours.

I’m certainly not opposed to Clinkscale, or Elston, or both becoming DCs, as they’ve both been with the program now for awhile and teaching aspects of the amoeba defense.

Continuity of defensive scheme and coaching is important as well.

I’d rather have those than to get some big name headline grabbing hire that would come in and disrupt what has been built on that side of the ball. Especially as next year’s defense looks to have a bunch of AA talent that have been in the system for awhile now.

another guy that has been spoken of highly was Mallory who is currently a defensive analyst.

Not saying he should be DC, but from what I've heard, he was a big part of the complex DB scheming...

Not sure if he wants to become a position coach - just that they should try to hang onto him if they can.
