PSU vs Wisconsin B1G Hockey semi final - who are we rooting for?
It is 1-1 late in the 2nd.
I can see the logic of wanting the top seed (Wisconsin) to lose - but should PSU win the tournament they are a bid stealer, and the bid they steal might be our own.
In this wacky year, the B1G might not get four teams in.
Thoughts?
We should be in safely unless the committee is being stupid. And to be fair, it is NCAA hockey. Beating Minny and Wisconsin two straight days is much harder.
That's the $64,000 question.
Root for PSU to win the semi and for us to beat them in the championship game.
Root for overtime so whoever wins will have more fatigue.
Root for Bucky if you relish the sight of Cole Caulfield scoring the game winning goal.

I want Wisconsin. I like their style of play - up tempo like us. And we won 3 of 4 against them this year. IF we get by the Gophers, that would be a fun game.
They didn't have Caulfield for the sweep early in the year. 46 points in 28 games this year.
They had Caufield for the early sweep, he had one assist in each game. However, they did not have Holloway for those games.
Don’t trust Committee to put 4/7 B1G teams in. Prefer there to be no bid stealing opportunity.
