The pre-game speech should be.....

given by Phil Martelli.  "Guys: I've been trying to get to the final 4 since 1995.  How about we win one for the old gipper Phil?"

Every time I watched UCLA this season (which was quite often, since I live on the West Coast), all I could think about is how that kid goes about his day with that hair. And he's a little guy, so that hair must add a few percentage points to his weight.

I guess we have our own "barber shop rockstar" in Mike Smith, but Mike's hair looks a little more manageable than Tyger Campbell's.

IMO. This would be a bad speech. This would only add fuel to the fire that Martelli is really the head coach and the main reason why we are winning (not Juwan)

This isn't a team that needs a pregame speech.

Maybe: "Play hard-play smart. Winning starts at the defensive end of the floor. Let's go do what we came here to do. We are a team."

Whatever Coach Howard says, because I have all the confidence in the world in Coach Howard and this staff.  Think the players do too.  UCLA does not run much offense, but they have guys that can make tough shots.  Somewhat expecting another heroic defensive effort by Michigan.  Both teams will scrap for rebounds , but we have a height advantage.

Go Blue  !!

No speech. Just watch the 2nd half of the 1993 tourney game against UCLA where we sleep walk through the first half and spot UCLA a 20 point lead and then raised the game to another level and ground out an overtime win.
