We are going to Lyft or Uber from the hotel and noticed it is right next to the silver lot where we are dropped off. Is this a Michigan type lot or do you mean literally piecing it together? Thanks!

I'm literally piecing it together, starting with the rental car and pregame trip to Wegman's and/or Wawa en route from Philadelphia. If there's anything more put together, I haven't found it yet. That said, the more the merrier.

We're coming from Philly as well. The alum association said details about a tailgate would come. Unfortunately, I avoid Facebook, and apparently that's where they announced a $50 fee for a tailgate with the NNJ club. Which, of course, was sold out. So we'll be cruising around looking for a spot as well.

All the "decent" tailgates are up the hill behind the stadium. It's a pretty meh experience, but the stadium is decent enough. Parking is a bit annoying.

All I know is that one could buy Rutgers season football tickets at Costco online for $99.

Rutgers Grad here. Actually that $99 deal was for two tickets for a single game. My daughter is a recent graduate of UM and we made it to a bunch of games in the Big House. Certainly a great experience! New Brunswick, the College Ave Campus, is about a 1.5 miles away from the SHI Stadium and there's free shuttles that leave behind the southend (behind the scorecard) of the stadium. Plenty of bars and restaurants in New Brunswick. Olde Queens, Court Tavern, Olive Branch, Scarlet Pub are popular college bars. The Harvest Moon Brewery is also very good with a good menu which is more in downtown area NB across from the Hyatt.

I'll be there! I haven't looked into any alumni tailgates, but I'm here for it. There are two alumni bars listed for the NJ Alumni Club (in Hoboken and Morris Plains, both about 45 minutes away from SHI Stadium).
Happy to link up somewhere near the stadium if folks find somewhere promising!
