Peppers post game interview

Submitted by We are back on
Peppers is the heart of this team and for the guys who said this was planned for him not to play, shame on you, you should feel really bad right now to question Peppers character like that. If Peppers should go to the NFL he should go down as one of Michigan's all time greats, throughout his time here at Michigan all we heard about was how he was the hardest working man everyday, he truly loves Michigan and his teammates. Do you define a hater as someone who thinks Peppers intetionally sat this one out? Because I think thats simply a differing opinion. Not a good look to classify people as somthing negative just because they have an opposing view

I think Peppers sat this one out. Im not a hater. I obviously want him back but if he intetionally sat it out then hes 100% not coming back

The thing I've seen very little of in any of this convo s much thought about what Peppers has meant to the team and how that was reflected last night. I sense that it was major, especially whenever FSU was able to spring a big play. I wonder, for example, if Lewis had a less than stellar performance because the guy who plays underneath him, as well as his return partner, was suddenly not there? Pepper's absence (I would think) made things much more difficult for our LBs. The punt return game had to be affected, in that suddenly FSU did not have to take Peppers into account. This maybe is tricky to judge given that so much of what Peppers has provided has been intangible when compared to the play of a running back or a defensive end, where consistency doing a narrower set of things is the norm. I wish there was more being said about all this, as opposed to speculating about the guy's motives, etc.

Peppers had been crying, you could see how puffy his eyes were in his interview.  It looked to me that he was fighting back tears the entire time.  That is NOT the face of a man who sat out the bowl game/possibly his last college game.

I'd love if Peppers came back. He has the opportunity to be the guy next year. Young talented team led by him is reminiscent of that 97 defense which featured a number of young guys in the back seven. Woodson led that group to the NC. I think Peppers is capable of doing the same thing.

"I still feel like I haven't accomplished what I set out to do, as an individual and as a team" - Jabrill after the Orange Bowl.

Looking at how many of his fellow defensive players stayed in light of NFL buzz last year and all the returning seniors for this years, as well as wanting to accomplish his long term collegiate goals, Jabrill has plenty of reason to stay. The NFL will always be there, and the risk of injury can happen at any time whether on a salary or not. Especially after the way this season ended up folding out, I think Jabrill stays.

And if he doesn't, he is one hell of a competitor and individual: high character, high class, high achieving, and will be highly regarded as one of Michigan's best. Go Blue.

I am curious why Peppers took off his uniform and was either in street attire or sweats in the Press Box?  It would seem to me that at least he should have been on the sidelines urging on his teammates and giving words of encouragement to #14 his replacement.

I didn't think he faked it, but such cynicism is the product of others ditching their teams already, plus the bowls becoming meaningless, plus not knowing Peppers personally

He was a good 2 year player for Michigan, far from one of the "all time greats" Let's not get carried away
