With that speed and his frame. He should starting tailback! This kid's a playmaker. Jabrill at the tail and smith at fullback. That would be something special.

Part of me hopes he can do it in 3 years.  He's going to be a monster this year and we're all going to get to be witness!  Then he'll be a top 10 pick even as a safety.

Sir Charles was a 3 year guy and there hasn't been a player in my lifetime (49) that has resulted in more recruits coming to Ann Arbor.  Breezy has already landed us a number of recruits.  I'm hoping he has an amazing year and goes as a top pick.  We'll reap the benefits for years to come.

Peppers is due for some highlight reel picks & returns this year. One or two from East Lansing has a nice ring to it...

After reading all 57 comments in this thread, I can confirm that Peppers is fast and the Jonesie022 is either his girlfriend, agent or perhaps both.

Video of Chesson's Kick off return speaks for itself. Chesson's caught the ball he was 5 yards behind Peppers, when Chesson reached the end zone he was a couple yards ahead. BOOM video proof.

If all that took place is what you describe, then yes, of course. However, it is possible. But given that you are speaking of 7 yards difference in less than 100, that wouldn't even be a race and we know Peppers is fast enough to make it a race.

It's my guess, his head was as it should be, on a swivel, looking around for would-be defenders to chop in half while escorting the great receiver down the sidelines. This will, of course, slow him down. I believe in a live, honest-to-goodness race of 100 yds, the time differential would be less than .2, or no more than 3 yds.

Great and he is not even the fastest player on the team.  Jabrill is a great football player...more dynamic on offense than he is on defense.  Though he is a solid tackler and very versatile on D, his greatest impact is when he has the ball in his hands.

but these were all in h.s., and Jehu has become faster as most do when they add a few years, hang in the strength room for that period as well. Additionally, he is a taller man than the other two and seems to gain separation in the second 50. He did, however, split the FL defenders and immediately began to separate if you will recall from last year's bowl game. Needless to say, all are extremely fast and all were 100 meter dash winners in their respective states their senior years.

Denard:  10. 44    FL

J.P.           10;52     NJ

J.C.          10.70     MO

These are three very fast humans

All different athletes. I liken Jehu to more of a thoroughbred type strider. He would probably be an amazing 400m guy (if I recall he was a state champ 300M IM hurdler).
Denard...well...to keep it in horse terms he's probably more of a cutting horse (amazing change in direction ability...definitely a small quarter horse).
And peppers is also a quarter horse. Built more for the 100M-200M than 1/4 mile.
