It's awesome they are both super fast (and Jourdan might have something to say about a race) but don't think we can draw much from the kickoff return given: - It's a football play not a track race and dudes are accelerating and expending energy accordingly - Running with a football is slower than running without a football

He was coming in on an angle,  i.e. he had more distance to cover.  This is fairly basic geometry. Of course it looked like Peppers was going faster up the field when they weren't running directly side by side.  This clip is useless for determining who is faster. I cannot believe educated people are arguing about this.

Talk about the play?

"106-yard return. the blocks were sharp and crisp.  Timing was nearly perfect.  10 guys, 11 guys hustling and 10 of them blocking, blocking for Jehu and he got - he is the fastest player on the team.  I know Jabrill said one of the fastest but he is the fastest, and he showed it today."

is pretty dang fast.  And, would have been tied for the fourth fastest 40 at this year's NFL combine.

Sorry MGoFriends - I am calling at least three fakes out of five on this one.  Hope I am wrong.

Looking at his body I don't see where anymore muscles go! I think he looks pretty much maxed out at the 205-210 he's at now. I don't think he can gain much more weight so he's probably more of a safety in the NFL in my eyes. Think Troy Polomalu but can play man coverage.

Speed is great and all but I hope he improves big time on his tackling and makes people feel da pain!

hes not exactly deion sanders in the tackling department.

hopefully youre kidding bc peppers was a decent tackler last season, at least for a guy who came in as a CB.

he obviously has some work to do in that area, especially if hes to play more of a true LB role this fall (and a lot of thats angles, filling, shedding, timing, figuring out the game from that position, etc versus purely form tackling), but hes by no means a finesse player

I responded when no one else had. If others had said something I wouldn't have. Its an annoying feature of this blog and the internet in general that even if 9 people have pointed something out a 10th person will still come along  and throw his 2 cents in too.

Baloney.

When you say: "I hope he improves big time on his tackling," the only sensible and logical interpretation is that you're directly implying that his tackling needs substantial improvement. That may not have been what you intended to mean, but the subtextual meaning is a criticism that anybody can discern.

Now maybe Peppers does need to make great strides in his tackling; if that's what you believe, fine. There's nobody on the team so great that they can't improve.
