I agree with all your points, a win is what counts.

Running it over & over is not without risks of its own.  PSU knowing exactly what's coming increases the chance of plays getting blown up, fumbles, and injuries and no one wants that.

The pass blocking was very suspect today and there are other options beside abandoning the forward pass and barely eeking out 1st downs or punting.

do people think punting isn't FULL of risks.

love u coach Moore but the 2nd half was dangerously conservative.

AMAZING!! You win anyway you can. The run game worked. BLAKE THE GREAT does it!

BET!! They covered. Against all of the odds.

Can't complain because it's a BIG MEEEECHIGAN WIN!

Well I wish the pass pro was good enough to trust.

But Michigan ran against a team that nobody runs against. And won a game on the road without the HC, with the OC/OL coach unexpectedly required to coach the whole team.

They played to avoid mistakes a bit, yes. And they punched that D in the mouth. And they won.

That’s all that matters.

“But Michigan ran against a team that nobody runs against.”

OSU’s running backs had 84 yds on 33 carries against PSU for 2.54 per carry.

Our two RBs had 197 yds on 36 carries for 5.47 per carry.

That played a big role in giving us a TOP advantage of almost 6-1/2 minutes. In a game on the road in that environment in the bizarre situation we were in, that was crucial.

Great win under the circumstances. But I'm officially worried about the running game, yes we ran 30 times in a row and won, but there were very few holes. I'm sure others will point out something I'm overlooking, and hopefully so as I'd love to the wrong. But again, great win.

Our only two scores in the second half came after a fumble on their side of the field (leading to, wow, a field goal) and a stupid fourth and six attempt by Franklin on their own 30. It's not like our running game won us this game.

Our defense won us the game, and good enough. But let's not pretend we were dominating them on the ground. We weren't.

The run game concerns you? Dude OSU got like 1.9 yards a carry and gave up running altogether. We sat on PSU and didnt even NEED to pass. Read that again. We didnt NEED to pass. PSU couldnt do enough to make us throw the ball. That is exactly what an effective run game does.

You cant score and you cant make us pass. We win.

You guys are confusing entertainment with winning football.

The risk associated with chasing your extra TD via the passing game was too high in that it would have exposed JJ to a ton of pressure, which could very easily have led to a scoop and score or a pick six.  That is the complete explanation.

No one can prove you are wrong, and you probably aren't wrong.  It's just that the way they did it was also not wrong and we won with the maximum possible control of the game throughout the entire second half.

I'm officially worried about the running game

I genuinely do not know how this could be someone's take after this game. This was the best and most explosive our running game has looked in at least a month, possibly all season, and it was on the road against possibly the best defense in the country.

This place continues to amaze me.

I don't even know what to say. Michigan ran into the teeth of the 2nd best run defense in the country and dropped 231 yards. This is the #1 team in the country.

1989 had Elvis grbac attempting 20 passes/game to Chris Calloway, Greg McMurtry and Desmond Howard. This was not 1989 game plan. Who has ever seen NINE offensive lineman on the field repeatedly?  Seems like Harbaugh designed some stuff specifically for psu, and sherrone was frozen and timid to make adjustments. Crazy there were no play action. They could have put in one or two tight ends to help the tackles and then taken some quick shots.
