James Franklin deserves his own appreciation thread. He lost to Brady Hoke and a HC in his second game.

He made 2 stupid 4th down calls against his biggest rivals that cost him both games. Although against us, Allar did have a guy almost within 10 yards of the ball. He called a time out for that play?

Jesse Minter is best DC in country.

Gotta clean up allowing those late game face-saving scores tho \s

Partly \s : Up 2 scores with 5min left, against a good team, Minter went NFL and bled clock down the field. Looking to stop them, of course, but clock more important. In college, the point spread matters tho. But, come to think of it though: this year, a couple times against the overmatched, he did get after it to preserve the spread, and got burned a couple-few times, so, yeah, actually, like I was saying:

Jesse Minter is pure genius, I've not even nits to pick

great defensive game. Look, they just don't make many holding calls - we got away with a couple as well - that being said, I think PSU's line was the best we've faced, and our guys stood tall.

Grant's play was absolutely epic!  Play of the game.

Allar was very shaky, and we put them in a position where they needed to rely on him or die a slow death - they chose the latter.

Cant be overstated - defense has not allowed a point in the 3rd quarter all season - that's absolutely incredible.

Minter is a fantastic coach, and this is the best Michigan team I've ever seen.

Great game - well done.

Go Blue!

They do, but mainly because of MHJ. Their running game is worse than Penn State's. Michigan will not defend them in the same manner as Penn State, but regardless Michigan's offense is the best of the three and no matter what mouth breathing, excuse making Bucknut tries to convince their self of, JJ is much better than McCord.

The degree to which PSU was able to run the ball is worrisome leading up to OSU, because they have a better running game and a much, much better passing game than PSU. They also didn’t put a lot of pressure on Allar. On the other hand, this was such a strange game with all the craziness of the previous 24 hours that maybe this one can’t be compared to any others.

OSU has a better running game than PSU?

Soft-as-Charmin Ryan Day, throws on third and short because his team can’t pick up three yards, has a better running game than PSU?

I get that your schtick is being stupidly pessimistic, but this is a dumb take even for you.  PSU’s rushing game is much better than OSU’s.  OSU’s line might be better, but PSU’s backs are definitely better.

I hope to God there is an iconic photograph of Kenneth Grant running down that running back.  Probably not as cool as Alan Branch's picture at PSU.  But that was one of the most amazing things I've ever scene from a 340 pound man.

I just did a little math and Michigan's given up 36 points all season before the win probability on ESPN got to 99%, ie garbage time. They have given up 39 points all season after the win probability got to 99%. So teams are averaging 3.6 meaningful points per game.

How did Maryland give up 52 to those guys.

Great effort from our guys, got pressure and pressure is Allars kryptonite, they had no functional passing game.  We owned 2nd and 3rd downs it seemed.
