Other Noon Games Thread
With Michigan destroying UConn, as expected, figured there may be folks who start flipping to other games going on right now.
OU is crushing Nebraska, 49-7.
Indiana is on their way to losing to WKU, 24-13.
Northwestern is in a barnburner with Illinois. Wait, scratch that, they're struggling with Southern Illinois.
Purdue leads Syracuse, 9-3, but the Orange are on the doorstep.
Temple has an early lead on Rutgers, 7-0.

Purdue being poorly coached again is going to cost them late.
September 17th, 2022 at 3:49 PM ^
You suck, Purdue.
September 17th, 2022 at 3:49 PM ^
Purdue remains a total enigma, capable of beating and losing to damn near anyone.
Jeff Brohm runs a clown show.
September 17th, 2022 at 3:51 PM ^
3 unsportsmanlike penalties and a holding call? Syracuse needs to give Purdue a muffin basket.
September 17th, 2022 at 3:51 PM ^
Thanks Purdue, I took the ‘Cuse.
September 17th, 2022 at 3:51 PM ^
Nice way to finish the game, Boilers. Two - 2 (TWO) - unsportsman-like conduct penalties after getting the go-ahead TD. Gave SU field position near the 50 with a minute left. They lost on a nice corner route to the EZ.
Serves them right. And Brohm should be apologizing for his hot-headed explosion that cost his team the win.
September 17th, 2022 at 3:51 PM ^
Purdue is so fucking stupid.
September 17th, 2022 at 3:52 PM ^
Couldn't try harder to lose that game than Purdue has
September 17th, 2022 at 3:54 PM ^
Wow Indiana. Just wow. WKU shitting the pants going back to end of the game.
September 17th, 2022 at 3:54 PM ^
More penalties after PU lost it's collective mind - 'Cuse kicked off from Purdue's 35 yd line.
Ridiculous.
September 17th, 2022 at 3:55 PM ^
Purdue shot themselves in the foot with all those upsotrsmanlike penalties, but the penalties during play were all egregiously bad calls. They got jobbed.
September 17th, 2022 at 3:59 PM ^
The two that cost them, after they scored the go-ahead TD with 51 seconds left, were 100% totally self-inflicted. Those gave SU the ball at midfield. Don't care that the refs blew a couple. That game is 100% on Brohm's back.
September 17th, 2022 at 4:29 PM ^
Every single unsportsmanlike conduct on Purdue was completely self inflicted and shows their poor discipline. Agreed 100%.
September 17th, 2022 at 3:57 PM ^
Indiana is being dumb. Going backwards. Hope their kicker can kick 51
September 17th, 2022 at 3:57 PM ^
He made it and bailed out his coach
September 17th, 2022 at 3:59 PM ^
Indiana celebrating like they won the national championship. They just beat Western Kentucky by on a field goal in OT. Jeesh.
September 17th, 2022 at 4:01 PM ^
I was too busy watching Purdue. How the crap did Indiana come back? I thought they were dead.
September 17th, 2022 at 4:03 PM ^
WKU shot themselves in the foot too many times including a miss on game winning FG. And they made bad plays in OT and had their FG blocked.
September 17th, 2022 at 3:59 PM ^
That 4th quarter of Purdue/Syracuse was something.
September 17th, 2022 at 3:59 PM ^
That Purdue guy who caught the TD then celebrated in the ‘Cuse player’s face and then had a mini meltdown should probably go into hiding. What a fucking dumbass.
September 17th, 2022 at 4:02 PM ^
ND punts from the Cal 45 and 6 seconds left in the half. Freeman is Frames Janklin 2
September 17th, 2022 at 4:04 PM ^
Thought the same thing. Also, nice to hear the booing from their fans. Down 3 to CAL. They were gifted a TD. Going to be tough for them.
September 17th, 2022 at 4:06 PM ^
Freeman is gonna be gone after next season if he doesn’t turn it around.
September 17th, 2022 at 4:03 PM ^
This must be one of the worst Northwestern teams ever. I didn't even know Southern Illinois had a football team, and I live in the area.
September 17th, 2022 at 4:05 PM ^
It’s NW, they suck for 2 years, then tip off a 9-10 win season, then suck for 2 more years. Rinse and repeat.
But yeah they are bad this year. This season feels like 2007 where everyone is beatable this year and no win is guaranteed.
September 17th, 2022 at 5:01 PM ^
It's every other year.
2018 - 9-5 (B1G West champs)
2019 - 3-9
2020 - 7-2 (B1G West champs)
2021 - 3-9
This year may be disrupting the matrix. OTOH, they are 1-0 in B1G play...
September 17th, 2022 at 4:07 PM ^
Southern Illinois started their year with a 64-29 loss to Incarnate Word and a 3-point loss to Southeast Missouri State.
And yet Northwestern was able to beat Nebraska. 😂
September 17th, 2022 at 4:14 PM ^
And they still beat Scott Frost!
September 17th, 2022 at 4:06 PM ^
It's the half, do you know who the notre dame qb is?
September 17th, 2022 at 4:12 PM ^
It was that kid who was the backup last year and this year. Pyne?
September 17th, 2022 at 4:16 PM ^
Drew Pyne. He's like 5'10" and sucks.
September 17th, 2022 at 4:10 PM ^
The 40 year old Clifford is a warrior for Penn St.
September 17th, 2022 at 4:17 PM ^
Tell me this isn't a come and get me to the west so they can play Iowa every year
September 17th, 2022 at 4:18 PM ^
More woes for the B1G West teams. Purdue could not hold off Syracuse. NW is now on a losing streak after beating Neb in week 0. Meanwhile, Neb has collapsed. They might go winless this season at this rate. Indiana is still underwhelming despite a win.
September 17th, 2022 at 4:21 PM ^
ND down 10-7 and half to Cal. LOL
September 17th, 2022 at 4:33 PM ^
Wow ND bailed out by a really weak targeting call on 3rd down.
September 17th, 2022 at 4:49 PM ^
thats nothing you should have seen the offside on their missed fg
September 17th, 2022 at 4:33 PM ^
UCLA down eight to South Alabama nearing the end of the 3rd. Chip Kelly era coming to an end in Westwood?
September 17th, 2022 at 4:35 PM ^
NBC announcers acting like ND just discovered a cure for cancer by running the football for a touchdown.
September 17th, 2022 at 4:38 PM ^
Don’t like Penn St at all but these announcers openly rooting for Auburn and the SEC.
September 17th, 2022 at 4:44 PM ^
Yeah, it's sickening. They're not even trying to hide it. They were arguing that Auburn got screwed because the refs didn't call a delay of game that would've nullified an Auburn interception. And made a point to point out that it's a B1G crew in the replay booth.
September 17th, 2022 at 4:49 PM ^
They'll flip with the new contract.
September 17th, 2022 at 4:41 PM ^
maybe it’s just me, but freeman has terrible body language. just seems to be aloof and pouting every time they show him.
September 17th, 2022 at 4:52 PM ^
if they don't win today notre dame might need to wait until the middle of october and stanford for their next real shot
September 17th, 2022 at 4:55 PM ^
ND down 3. Out gained by 100 yards. The commentators must be getting a bonus for saying something positive about them every play.
September 17th, 2022 at 5:01 PM ^
PSU looks competent, I'll give them that. Now up 14-3 at Auburn, but I'm not sure how bad AU is this year...
September 17th, 2022 at 5:03 PM ^
Minnesota in the process of blowing the doors off a power 5 school. Can't honestly remember the last time that's been the case.
September 17th, 2022 at 5:07 PM ^
Colorado is REALLY bad.
September 17th, 2022 at 5:20 PM ^
CU is a P5 in name alone these days. They would struggle to defeat UConn.
September 17th, 2022 at 5:11 PM ^
PSU CB trying hard to strip the ball lets the QB scramble for 13 yards on 3rd & 10 from inside the 10. Kinda bailed out with a cheap shot flag (still first down), but what a stoopid decision to not worry about tackling the guy.
