Since JT is an out-of-state student, a semester's worth of tuition would be roughly ~$13,700, which is excluding room-and-board because I don't know if that is included in the punishment.

EDIT: Barrett will be losing his scholarship for the summer term, which is based on credit hours and not a flat tuition. (https://twitter.com/GerdOZone/status/661236358334296064). So... a 3 credit hour course is roughly ~$3,300. IIRC, when Mewhort and Stoneburner's scholarships were revoked it was about $6,600 lost (2 summer courses).

So he will get no financial aid for the Summer semester.  But he doesn't have to enroll for summer classes if he doesn't want to right?  I mean, thats just optional, unlike Fall or Winter/Spring semesters correct?  So basically Barret could just hang out in columbus and train all summer with his teamates and there will be no financial impact.

I believe you have to be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours to participate in "voluntary" offseason workouts. So at minimum, Barrett will have to pay $6650 just for tuition, and he's also losing room and board for the summer... So all together it could come out to $8000+
