OT: Stranger Things (no spoilers please)

Read the headline. No spoilers please. I'm posting this as my good Samaritan act for the year. If you have Netflix, go watch the show. If you don't, go buy Netflix and then go watch the show. I'm four episodes in and if the last four hold serve, this may be my favorite first season of anything. The genre of the show is - go watch the damn show. Shut up with all the questions.

Just don't watch it by yourself at night. The first few episodes are very scary. But it's worth it.

I almost wish they don't make another season. Perfectly told story in 8 episodes.

True Detective ruined me, I can't have another amazing show try to replicate a successful season with a totally new storyline and fail so miserably

I wasn't all that impressed. Watched the whole thing in a few days. Almost had an epileptic seizure from the last episode. It was entertaining, but too weird.

Nothing original (not much today is) with a healthy does of elements taken from E.T. If Jai Courney and Elizabeth Perkins ever needs an actress to portray them as a kid, the actress who played 11 would be it. Shaved head, looked like a young Jai and with the blond wig, Perkins.

On a side note, the sheriff could actually get away with playing Harbaugh. Not a spitting image of Jim but close enough.

I am enjoying Bloodline much much more. Ben Mendelsohn has the creepy character nailed as he did in Animal Kingdom.

I just finished Stranger Things last night after a 2 day binge. I wish it would have been longer but overall it was a fantastic series.I hope it comes back for a second season. I really liked David Harbour but I agree with an above comment about Winona being sub par.

Netflix is putting out some really good shows and I have also been told to watch the Last Kingdom.

I have watched all of their shows so far and most are pretty damn good!

Finished it a couple of days ago would like to echo the sentiments that it's super enjoyable. Old school in a good way. For someone who loves sci-fi it was definitely a pleasant surprise.

Stranger Things is up there as one of the best original Netflix programs. The whole season of Stranger Things keeps getting better and better with every episode. The while cast does a great job. I hope Netflix picks up a second season. I can't wait for Narcos to come back Sept 2nd.
