Young Hollywood Actress is Attractive!
October 19th, 2015 at 11:46 PM ^
Hey now, just because she is an actress in Hollywood, doesn't mean she is auto-pretty.
See Maggie Gyllenhaal, Renee Zellweger, Mindy Kaling etc.
October 20th, 2015 at 12:31 AM ^
Mindy Kaling is in comedy, that doesn't count.
Renee Zellweger isn't exacty "young" anymore. Back before her Bridget Jones days, she was ok.
Maggie Gyllenhaal I agree with you 100 percent. Yeesh.

That doesn't interest me (at the moment, as I need to see a trailer first). I wish what they would do is have a prequel set of movies that centers around Harry's parents and tells their story.

What's funny was when the mask was first revealed, everybody was like "Revan is in this! Sweet!" My inner SW nerd wanted to break shit after hearing that.

I wouldn't go as far as terrible but you can't top Darth Vadar's mask, he's the gold standard in my opinion and set the bar extremley high. I wish they could have somehow made him come back for this one...

Some of us older guys remember when the original Star Wars came out in the summer of '77. I was 13 and remember waiting in line for an hour just to get into the cinema.

For the first couple of weeks the lines could be unlike anything we've ever seen in movie theaters

It was finals week so a group of us thought we'd catch a matinee, long ass line at Briarwood.

Wasn't alive for Episode 4, but the story I heard was Howard the Duck was supposed to be the huge blockbuster that year and in fact they had all the top special effects guys working on that movie and not Star Wars.

saw it 67 times in the theater.
After the blood-curdlingly awful prequals, and the even worse original "revisions",
George Lucas is dead to me.

The music.
Orginal Star Wars music... with a touch of revamp.
Droooooooooool.

Luke's photon torpedo down the exhaust vent right before the Death Star is about to nuke Hoth is pretty damn close to that.

the leaked script was pretty darn accurate. Can't wait! Hopefully Battlefront will help pass the time quickly.

I'm a Star Trek kind of guy. And generally don't like what Abrams has done to that franchise.
That said, I think this trailer looks GREAT. I'm much more interested in this than before.
October 20th, 2015 at 9:08 AM ^
I thought his Star Trek movies were a departure from the franchise for sure, but they were good movies, IMO. The Star Wars franchise probably lends itself more to the JJ Abrams treatment too, so I think this should work. As long as Lucas doesn't direct it, I'm happy.
October 20th, 2015 at 12:15 PM ^
JJ successfully resurrected the Star Trek franchise. He (thankfully) turned the movies into sci-fi action films. I'm a trekkie, don't get me wrong. I like the shows and the non-JJ films. JJ's movies are not about exploration, though. I get it that the show's premise is that, but that doesn't belong in the movies.

The trailer is ok, nothing really special about it outside of it being Star Wars. I'm sure they will bring back all the old characters since that is what they do for every sequel ever and nobody wants to see a Star Wars movie without a Skywalker. Seems unrealistic to me, like making a WWII movie with Woodrow Wilson in it. I'm sure I will be there in theaters withing a few weeks of it's release. I have seen all three of the Star Wars movies so far after all.
