OT: Star Wars - The Force Awakens MNF trailer

https://youtu.be/sGbxmsDFVnE Choo Choo, all aboard the hype train. I'm so wary after the prequels, but this looks legit, cautious optimism is rapidly giving way to unbridled anticipation. (yes, I know this technically violates the in-season OT rule, but it's the bye week and we all need a little diversion right now) Edit: Can someone please assist with the embed? Can't figure it out on mobile.

Some of us older guys remember when the original Star Wars came out in the summer of '77. I was 13 and remember waiting in line for an hour just to get into the cinema.

I have never been excited for a movie my entire life; that's all changed now, I think about this movie every single day. I'm so pumped. Kylo Ren looks awesome, can't wait to see him vs. Finn. I love how the previews have not even touched on Luke or whoever Kylo Ren's master is.

I'm a Star Trek kind of guy.  And generally don't like what Abrams has done to that franchise.

That said, I think this trailer looks GREAT.  I'm much more interested in this than before.

I thought his Star Trek movies were a departure from the franchise for sure, but they were good movies, IMO. The Star Wars franchise probably lends itself more to the JJ Abrams treatment too, so I think this should work. As long as Lucas doesn't direct it, I'm happy.

JJ successfully resurrected the Star Trek franchise. He (thankfully) turned the movies into sci-fi action films. I'm a trekkie, don't get me wrong. I like the shows and the non-JJ films. JJ's movies are not about exploration, though. I get it that the show's premise is that, but that doesn't belong in the movies.

The trailer is ok, nothing really special about it outside of it being Star Wars.  I'm sure they will bring back all the old characters since that is what they do for every sequel ever and nobody wants to see a Star Wars movie without a Skywalker.  Seems unrealistic to me, like making a WWII movie with Woodrow Wilson in it.  I'm sure I will be there in theaters withing a few weeks of it's release.  I have seen all three of the Star Wars movies so far after all.
