OT - Reddit CFB Risk Update 5/12: OUT DAMN SPOT

As always, thanks everyone for your contributions to the war effort. We had a near perfect night last night. We now control everything in the NorthEast except Buffalo and Rutgers. Clemson just BARELY escaped to Rutgers and OSU has a spot at Buffalo.

Another update on user count:

Still the fastest growing team in the game. We now have fulfilled Phase 1 of our plan. We have taken Maine. Now we want to expand and take the rest of the NorthEast. Also of note, we have lost every foothold we have in the midwest, which is good news because it means that anyone operating rogue should now be acting generally with us.

But also, there are some important updates.

Our ally Florida, was accused of organizing the use of multiple accounts per user to cheat the game. A lot of drama unfolded from that. In response to that, the Game admins hid some of their data from the public, have said that they are going to nerf 1-2 star users in some undetermined way and are also going to increase the aggressiveness of their bot detection. 

So you may be recognized as a bot if you haven't been before. If you are a bot, you should see a message on the page indicating this.

So follow the instructions and contact the r/CFBRisk mods if that happens. Also, the CFBRisk mods have indicated that they may start marking accounts as bots if they aren't "users on R/CFB". So we ask that in order to keep yourself eligible that when you go to vote everyday: just take a look at the CFB subreddit and make a post or two. There should be always something on the front page Michigan-related that you can drop a quick take on.

So for today's general assignment what we would like to do is give you some more specific intructions. We want to keep OSU out of the northeast and take Buffalo. So, if you have a birthday in the months of January to April, attack Buffalo. If you have a birthday in the months of May to August, defend Syracuse. If you have a birthday in the months of September to December, defend Penn State. We are going to be using you guys to push back against OSU!

Instructions to Join:

To join all you need to do is go to reddit.com/r/cfb and create an account if you don't already have one. Next, set your flair to Michigan. You can do this by clicking "Select Flair" on the right side of the cfb subreddit. Finally, you can join and play the game at https://vote.redditcfb.com/cfbrisk.php. 

If you want to discuss the game in deeper detail and strategize with us, you can join our discord server found here: https://discord.gg/TcZBTcj. We usually announce plans of what we want to attack/defend in the evenings, but we discuss strategy all day. Be warned though, there will be a vetting process to join the discord as we have had some mole issues from OSU. Even if you don’t pass the vetting process, we can still provide less-secret instructions in the general chat so that you can still help us towards our goals until we can fully 100% trust you.

Instructions as to how to play:

At the beginning of the game. Every team was assigned one single territory, and so every territory is now named after that team. When you go to select an action in the game, you'll see option such as: 

"Defend Buffalo", "Attack Penn State", "Attack Kent State".

This means that we border the location that was originally assigned to Penn State and Kent State. If you choose to attack Penn State, you will attempt to take that piece of land next round. Defend Buffalo, means that we currently own Buffalo's original homeland, and defending Buffalo means putting your stars towards keeping Buffalo from being taken.

After you submit what you're doing for the day, just sit back at wait! At Midnight EST all of the picks from all of the teams go in, and a random number generator selects a winner for each territory. Then it all happens again tomorrow.
