OT: Ohio State Recruit Arrested While on Official Visit

Submitted by geewhiz99 on

Four-star wide receiver James Robinson was arrested last weekend by Columbus police while on an official visit to Ohio State and charged with one count of possession of marijuana, according to Franklin County Municipal Court records.

Robinson, a 6-foot-4, 207-pound wideout from Lakeland, Florida, was taken into custody at an off-campus apartment on the night of Jan. 21 and released later that evening. He returned to Florida the next day, but is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on March 1.

You know, Meyer used to wait until the kid was enrolled and on the roster before letting them get arrested. That's some serious ass recruiting there, Herb. GoBucks!

...that would cause me to stop recruiting him. God knows I blazed up plenty while at UM. It's the lack of good judgment and self control to not refrain from possession/use while on an OV that I find troubling.

You know he wasn't alone on his visit. Which players were hosting him is the question? Doubt he brought weed with him from Florida because he flew. Let's just hope he got the grass from the players that were showing him around. That would be great!

Is this the same kid that somebody said lastnight had asked about what OSU would do for him if he were to sign?  Stoopid kid...

As for the players that were hosting him, they probably supplied him with the pot.  But if anyone thinks that current OSU players will be busted for that, they're mistaken.  If so, they'd have already been named.  Nothing else to see here.

This is a test for Robinson to see if he can keep his mouth shut on where he got the weed from. If he narks on a current team member, the court will bust him. If he stays tight lipped, they'll let him off and give him a scholarship.
