OT: Michigan Cycling Team Kit Order

Submitted by XtraDurzzle on October 31st, 2018 at 2:02 PM

Hey all, there has been interest in these orders before, so I'm posting this on behalf of the club.

The Michigan Cycling team is a Club Sport who competes in the Midwest Collegiate Cycling Conference. Other teams in our conference include MSU, OSU, Notre Dame, Indiana, Wisconsin, Purdue, Illinois, Case Western, Louisville, Northwestern, Cincinatti, Marquette, Miami (NTM), and a bevy of other small schools. Our conference also features a few schools that consider cycling a varsity sport including Marian and Lindenwood.

The kit order is once again live and this year they're added a couple more options.

These are the same exact uniforms that the team is currently racing in.

More information about the team can be found here: http://www.umcycling.org/

Prices do tend to run a bit high, but such is the nature of being a small fish in the big pond of paying university royalties and the like. Any proceeds go towards helping get team member's to races and most importantly nationals.

The order closes on November 9th, and the kits will be delivered to you in mid December, so perfect for Christmas!

Please note that because this is a custom order, there is no returns.

Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

Hell yeah this is awesome. Thanks for posting the link! Got the "Great Lakes" alternates a couple years ago, wear that shit all the time.

Am I just blind or are there no shorts for men (other then bibs)?

...but what's the WEATHER going to be for the game?!

Kidding aside, those are sweet if you're into cycling.

About 20 years ago, when I was last a student at Michigan, I masked and painted yellow (not quite maize) wings and stripes onto the blue bike helmet I wore when riding around campus.  The helmet had three channels running front to back that nearly touched at the very back and were perfect for the stripes.  It turned out really nice and I got lots of comments on it, but it wasn't really the right kind of paint for the job and quickly developed some cracks and chips.  Still have and love that helmet.

If I'm just a casual cyclist is it douchey to wear this?  I'm not being snarky.  It looks awesome but if I'm barely moving down the windy street here in Chicago wearing this I might feel embarrassed.

Thanks for posting this.  I purchased a maize jersey, bib shorts and arm warmers this spring (the Pactimo ones) and I am very happy with the fit, performance and look.  Probably going to purchase another set so thanks again.  Love these.

Any suggestions for a late fall tire? I ride 23mm clinchers and haven't really ridden in late fall before. I live in the A2 area too and just ride paved roads - not cross. I have GP4000sii's but would rather ride something a little more durable in the cold/wet conditions.

Kit looks sweet.

I ride year round on the same tires and like them very much.  Weather in PDX is relatively similar to A2, less snow, but I don't ride much in the snow except in the hills on a nasty day:

These kits are sweet! How form-fitting is the Breckenridge jacket? I'd like something for cold weather mountain biking and I typically wear a light "flak jacket" with rib and back padding under my shirt/jacket.

Dang, I just came across this now as I was searching for the possibility of a Michigan kit in Zwift.

@XtraDurzzle, is there any way to get on an interest list for a notification next time?

Also, any other Zwifters out there?
