OT: Illinois Only a 2.5-Point Favorite Over Rutgers
Thought this was interesting. Even after getting jailsexed by OSU and Michigan in successive weeks, Rutgers is only a 2.5-point dog at home against Illinois this weekend. You can see all the lines of this week's games here. I have three observations on that:
1. Whoever wins this game better enjoy it, because it's going to be the last win they see all year.
2. If Illinois is only 2.5 points better than Rutgers, the Illini better enjoy this week, because the week after that won't be much fun.
3. Chris Ash probably should have invited those 200 recruits to this game instead.
Also, Wiscy has opened as a 10.5-point dog at home against OSU.

Might as well spend the bye week preparing for OSU the way MSU has looked. If there is a God we will win 50-0 and we will know we have passed the test of the last 8 years.

Penn State thinks we're a rival

I remember that game, it was Halloween. Roundtree I think it was got caught from behind, we couldn't punch it in from the one, and the team fell apart. Bad, bad memories...

I went to the 67-65 game. It was nice to win but when your defense looks like...that, is there really any reason to be happy?
Left Ann Arbor that day and went to the Cider Mill in Ypsilanti, listening to the radio and the post-game shows made it sound like this was a loss. Even Chris Spielman was interviewed on the radio a couple weeks later and said, "I have no idea how Michigan's defense got this bad. They can't stop anything."
Ugh...why did you have to remind me of that game? I need one of those Men in Black memory erasers.

Everyone gets better after playing Michigan - all our pre-Rutgers opponents are .500 or better this season. When they say we "Put on a clinic out there" they're not kidding.

Chris Ash made his second big mistake as a coach inviting all those recruits there for Michigan. His first was probalby accepting that job in the first place.
