OT: He did come to play school
And after all that, looks like Cardale Jones finally has a degree from OSU. I say, good for him -- honestly, I never understood all the vitriol about his infamous tweet. Lots of D1 atheletes aren't in school to focus on the school part.
That said, it would've been nice if someone had told him the difference between having a degree from OSU and not having one is kind of like the difference between eating at Taco Bell and eating at Arby's - either way, it's shit.
Can there be a downside? Good for the young man!
Good for Cardale I can only imagine all the dumb things I said when I was 19. Thankfully social media didn't exist back then--and no one would've cared what I would have said anyways.
I agree with this. Good for him. I've worked with some real talented people with OSU degrees.
Rivalry's are good and all, and I want to beat OSU every chance I get, but when it comes to some kid getting his degree vs. ditching early I'm all in favor of the former.
I remember onboarding incoming Freshman when I worked for ITD; and they got to pick their uniquenames. A ton would pick some outragious crap; but I'd have to explain to them that while 'skoolsux' may sound neat now, in four years it might not when you're emailing your prof. Some stuck to their guns because hey, at 19 we're mostly all stupid to one degree or another.l
Even if it is from OSU, Congratulations Cardale!
are extremely tasty for what they are. Categorically not "shit."
I like Taco Bell and Arby's.
Feels like an Arby's night.
Ohh yeahh
They just put out some more donuts
You think at this point in my life idk the difference between caramel and nougat??
Congrats for not only returning to finish your degree but also for being able to laugh at the stupid shit you did when you were a kid. Don't know why this would get downvotes.
People act like OSU is some crap school, but the global rankings which we so love to tout showing Michigan is a top 30 school globally also have OSU firmly in the top 100. It's a very good school which has as much name recognition nationally as Michigan does
Congrats to Cardale for being wise and going back to finish his degree.
I thought the comment at the end was extremely juvenile. I hate Ohio State athletics with all my heart, but I also have an Ohio State degree. It took a lot of work to get it, and I'm doing just fine.
1 - A degree from OSU is not shit except to a person who doesn't know the work & dedication involved in earning one.
2 - How the hell does an MGo vet with 11k points post a topic this awful?
WTF ARE YOU IMPLYING???
UM Class of 1997.
Many prereq classes are garbage I agree
Good for him. Urban should have started him the rest of the season after Barrett got the DUI.
Why the hell would you have a QB, who hasn't done anything wrong conduct wise (and won a national championship, ride the bench their senior season when the other QB is an underclassman? And Cardale picked up JT from the police station.
Wasn't a huge Urban hater until that. No class.
James Franklin is still looking at it.
When he's done.
Good for Cardale. Looks like he has a sense of humor too. Best of luck to him.
Taco Bell is straight up shit. But congrats to Cardale for finishing up his degree. Most players that leave early never finish it up...
Good for him. I say that with no sarcasam. Says a lot about somebody's character when they are making millions and they go to school anyway.
I said many dumb things in my late teens. Congrats on graduating.
