OT: Da'Shawn Hand DUI this morning
Coach Saban needs to send a strong message. Look for him to sit for the entire first half of the Mercer game.
I believe they said it was the Tuscaloosa PD
This is Earth-quaking news
LOL Mr. Elbel, it is still going over your head. I was not mocking your post with sarcasm. Dashawn hand was supposedly a "lock" to end up at Michigan. When he chose Alabama, he cited their "top notch" engineering department, and specifically mentioned their earthquake simulator.
It was a reference for the recruiting diehards around here.
No, no, you see it clearly didn't go over his head because he said it didn't.
You didn't know about the earthquake simulator? What is your excuse for that? Do you have a life or something?
Never heard abou the earthquake simiulator, that's why I come here to read the comments, funny guys who know a ton of sh*t about Michigan football.
To paraphrase the quote to Gen. Westmorland by the paratrooper "do you know every detail about Michigan football? Answer from me: "No, but I like to hang around guys that know every detail about Michigan football."
will be handled internally
What you did there, I see it.
No they don't and thats going to become a big time liability issue in the future, frankly I'm shocked it hasn't happened yet.
Carrying passengers for a fee is a very common liability coverage exclusion under most auto policies. The insurance coverage provided by the ride share company typically only provides liability coverage while you are actually transporting a customer. If you are a driver for a ride share company (e.g., Uber or Lyft), you very likely need an endorsement from your auto insurer to provide liability coverage when you are logged into the transportation company's ride share system but not actively transporting passengers. The Uber/Lyft provided liability coverage may not provide coverage while you are enroute to pick up a passenger, either.
Gaps exist between the liability coverage typically provided by your auto insurance company and the liability coverage provided by the ride share company; a ride-share endorsement is very often needed to fill these gaps in coverage.
Good to know he didn't injure or kill someone, but still, a stupid decision. Hopefully it's a wake up call for him.
Never had any problems myself. Never thought much about it.
Then I worked in a rehab. Alcoholics Anonymous has a great program called H&I, where they go to Hospitals and Institutions, and do AA meetings wherever they are needed. The H&I volunteers are humble, but I call these men and women American heroes.
Anyway, one night three guys come to our rehab for an evening meeting. Two old salty guys and a young kid. I'm thinking the kid won't have much to say. So the oldtimers talk about police chases and prisons and destroyed families, and how they turned things around. Then the young guy comes up and kind of fumbles and mumbles, and then he says, "Well, I never got in trouble growing up. But one day I kinda got drunk and blacked out while driving, and drove over five people."
Changed my perspective.
He was on his way to an early morning Engineering lecture...
Unable to Engineer His Way Out an Unfortunate Set of Circumstances
Me like, me like!
If he came to UM he'd be in the leauge already.
I love Michigan as much as anyone, but I'm not going to blame a kid for choosing to play for Nick Saban over Brady Hoke. Hand had no way of knowing that Harbaugh would become coach.
but it was hard to have confidence in the stability of our program at that point. Hoke was trending down, a point that was surely reinforced by other schools.
The self driving feature will take care of this for them.
30 days till Bama plays FSU
Evidently not staying in and boning up for Engineering summer finals!
